We stayed in one of the hotels premier suites. It was too big! The decor and design were dated and the lighting and airconditioning problematic. The huge bed had sheets that weren't fitted and the bedspread wasn't very clean and had hairs and dust in evidence. The shower was brilliant and it had 2 baths in the room The door lock jammed when we returned for our second nights stay and the staff took 20 minutes to let us in, but were excellent in giving us free drinks while we waited in the bar. Parking at the hotel is minimal and we paid for 2 days in advance at £10 per day. On the second day there was no room in the hotel car park, due to a wedding at the hotel. They refunded the second days parking charge. Overall not a stay we will repeat.

Great hotel with great service.

Booked the cheapest room as we were there for only one night to see friends for dinner. Requested a room with walk in shower (not over bath) as we are in our 80s. When we arrived we were told we’d been upgraded as a result to a deluxe which had a walk in shower and a big soaking tub. Bliss.

The room was lovely, really nice and clean. The staff were fantastic. Especially as they rang me to say I left my EpiPens behind (I didn’t get the message until I was home sadly) but they were super prompt to let me know. On checking in the lady (can’t remember her name) went “oooh I’m meant to be going home, but I can check you in” my friend was being booked in at the same time.

In general a very nice place to stay. We have stayed here several times before. It is a treat to stay at this hotel. However on this particular occasion we experienced a few maintenance issues. We were given a very pretty room but a little later discovered the TV did not work. The team were helpful but could not fix this so suggested moving to another room which we accepted.This room was initially cold but later warmed up. Unfortunately in the new room the kettle did not work so was replaced by the team. It is also worth noting that the hotel lift was not functioning. This remains a very nice place to stay with helpful staff but a little more attention to maintenance issues. The issues we experienced did not make for a relaxing experience and we have never before had any issues at this hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast and good WiFi.
