this is a very nice property. Ravon should be your employee of the year. He went above and beyond to make me comfortable and always greeted me with a smile! I didnt write his name down just remembered it because he was so nice.

I've stayed at many hotels in the Charlotte area and many in the Hilton chain across the U.S., I don't think that I would stay at this one again. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the ironing board fell apart when I lifted it off the wall rack, and no sheets in the room for the fold-away bed. The breakfast was okay, the personnel on duty were all super friendly and helpful. Kudos to the staff for doing a great job!

Bath tub drained poorly. Faucet and bath controls were loose—thought they’d break. Someone in a room above us was bouncing a ball at midnight. Called front desk and they said they’d take care of it. Called again and they said they called a few rooms and no one answered and that’s all they could do. Bouncing went on for who knows how long. Had to wear headphones to fall asleep.

The Hampton Inn was a great choice, it's location made it easy to walk to the Convention Center. My only complaint was there wasn't a microwave in the room. There was one down on the main floor though.

We were not told online that you had to pay a $150 deposit upon checking in. That really thru a monkey wrench in our plans. When we were checking out we could not even get a receipt for what we paid or for the deposit. Lady at desk when checking out was not very friendly, act like we were disturbing her from her phone. I had to ask for housekeeping & for what we paid I should not have to ask for housekeeping. First room we were sent to was not even clean. Bathroom had hair and soap residue in the tub and sink had a stuck stopper where water would not drain. Then moved to another room that had no stopper in sink at all just a open hole, microwave was non-existent. I was not changing rooms again so decided to tough it out. We were very disappointed.
