Good location .

Hotel is absolutely amazing but breakfast is like Fawlty Towers. Nothing is set out and you wait an absolute age before anyone takes your food order.

As a solo female traveller I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to leave my bag at the reception, which was then delivered to my room. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and is a stones throw away from the train station all the main attractions. I would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

We noticed that the mattress cover was not replaced with the fresh one when we got there. But the staff has helped right away. Everything was good enough for the value.

The hotel is in an ideal location, only a 15 minute walk into the city centre. Our room was in the new extension to the hotel. The room was very clean, big enough for 2 people with a very comfortable queen size bed and bathroom. The Air conditioning was a great benefit especially with this lovely summer weather we are currently having. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the choice of food at breakfast was excellent . Overall a very good choice of hotel and we would have no hesitation in staying here again if we visit York again.

Had a lovely stay here. Didn’t interact too much with the hotel as we had other plans but where we did staff were very polite and keen to help. We had a lovely, clean room, where it was nice and quiet and we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Air con was amazing here over the hot weather too. The hotel is also very reasonable for the price and very walkable into the heart of the city too. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

We received a friendly welcome on check-in and we're shown to our room personally, which was a really nice touch. Our room was quiet and had the bonus of a bath, it was very good. The hot breakfast was quality and cooked well. We would have preferred more bread choice, cheese and charcuterie to be self serve.

We stayed in the annex and the room had very poor air conditioning. It was a hot day and i'm sure the conditioning was working overtime but for £200+ / night, it should be adequate.

Room was a really nice, staff were amazing and friendly.

The hotel was fantastic all round. Beautifully decorated room, friendly, helpful staff, great cocktails at the bar and perfect location.

Was met by a young man on reception who was wonderful. He was polite, helpful and a real asset to the hotel (feel so bad that I didn't get his name). He got our stay off to a fabulous start. Planning our next stay.

Great property, very popular with summer weddings. If you want a big room make sure you book in advance.

An interesting and attractive 4 star hotel. Room was a nice size with the usual amenities. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a variety of cold items and a made to order hot breakfast. We especially liked the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Surprisingly, for a hotel with a French "vibe", the croissants etc. were stale. But that was a minor complaint. Overall, a lovely, well-run, well-located hotel.

Beautiful hotel and room. Really convenient for the station too. Very efficient air conditioning which was hugely appreciated in the hot weather. Christina on reception showed us to our lovely room, that’s a great touch. Highly recommended, we will return.
