Excelent hotel, nice spa, 10 min walk to city center

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station, so it was really convenient. We got here early in the morning for a hike and they stored our luggage. The staff was really kind and the room was great.

Good area to stay is near the main train station and you can get buses and coaches for a good price.

Lovely stayvout of season. Room was a little warm and bed very average bur everything else was wonderful. Spa was very enjoyable and the breakfast & restaurant were exceptional.

Ideal location close to the railway & bus station and a short walk to the Kropowki. Breakfast was sustantial should suit all tastes. Hotel was comfortable and facilities swimming pool,sauna, at a good standard. Overall a good choice for a relaxing stay.

As the oldest hotel in Zakopane, its history is reflected in beautiful architectural details—carved woodwork, grand staircases, and classic finishes that give the building timeless character. Photos truly do not do this hotel justice. While a few cosmetic elements show their age, the important details—comfort and atmosphere—are outstanding. The beds are exceptionally comfortable with plush down pillows, high-quality down comforters, and crisp cotton bedding. Bathrooms are spacious and modern with excellent amenities. My room even had a lovely terrace overlooking the street, and despite being close to everything in town, nights were remarkably quiet. The breakfast buffet was the best I experienced during my two weeks in Poland—abundant, fresh, and beautifully presented. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was equally impressive; the duck was superb, the fish perfectly prepared, and the service excellent. The staff were gracious and accommodating throughout our stay, from adding a late-arriving companion to our reservation to holding our luggage after checkout. The spa and pool area were spotless and relaxing, providing the perfect retreat after a long day. The Grand Hotel Stamary beautifully reflects Poland’s heritage—elegant, resilient, and welcoming. I cannot recommend a hotel in Zakopane more highly.

Spacious bedroom, nice amenities. Location is great.

This has to be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The goose down comforter was divine and the pillows were so supportive. I had the best sleep this night in almost three weeks traveling in Europe. I enjoyed a very nice dinner in house that evening and was able to walk the neighborhood the next morning to see the town. Barbara at check-in was super helpful and very nice, as I booked the hotel last minute coming from nearby Thermal baths.

We loved this hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was so quiet and the sauna was very nice. We loved that this was so close to the bus station and the local bus to go to the mountains or thermal baths. We will definitely stay here again. Amazing hotel!

Spa was FANTASTIC! Interior was Beautiful and Clean. Room was a Great Mattress and bedding was also Fantastic. One of the best Breakfasts I ever had! We can't wait to comeback!

The building is beautiful, the staff are nice. The food is good. However, the rooms are aged, tattered, and poor condition. Lightbulbs are out in the room and in the halls, the Jacuzzi has mildew. No AC, the rooms are uncomfortably hot in the summertime. The price does not match the quality.

Our second stay at this wonderful hotel, and once again – everything was perfect! The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and always ready to help. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to come back again!

I liked the old atmosphere/decoration of the hotel (it is 120 years old). The room was nice with tea/coffee facilities and a fridge. It was great to have swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna at the hotel. They also offer relaxation and skin care massages. It is less than 10 minutes walk to train/bus station and to the city centre where you could find plenty of restaurants to chose from. However, you also have a good menu at the hotel restaurant or by ordering room service.
