...You will never want to leave...This hotel and staff are what you would dream to have and not expect from any visit you have at a hotel. From first arrival we were treated like family and made to feel like we were at a new home we had yet to discover. Fabio was simply incredible as was the rest of the staff. From making sure we had everything we needed to guiding us through our journey in their magical town. The hotel itself was impeccable and one of the most friendly and professionally run operations I have experienced...and i travel a lot. It was my first trip alone with my Daughter after the passing of my mother and we could not have been more blessed to be welcomed the way we were into this wonderful space. We truly escaped here. We loved it so much and will return one day. Unfortunately Expedia took a review from another place with a complete opposite experience and posted it here. I cannot tell you the horror i felt when i learned of this mistake. Even when I talked to them they were very understanding. I am grateful of their patience and their constant example of professionalism

The room was very spacious and clean. The welcome was very friendly. Breakfast had lovely freshly made coffee and lots of choice in the buffet.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Short walk to city walls. Excellent accommodation, would highly recommend.

I would recommend Hotel San Marco to anyone visiting Lucca. It was a great choice for exploring and enjoying the walled city. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Marco The staff at every level were accommodating and pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with excellent linens and towels. The garden was lovely the perfect place for a quiet drink or dinner. Would highly recommend this conveniently located property.

With pure hospitality upon us first stepping into the property, the staff were an essential element to the overall loveliness of our stay at Hotel San Marco. Knowledgable of their area, they were always willing to provide recommendations and transportation plans for the nearest cultural experiences. The room was clean and modern, while the pool and surrounding lobby area encouraged community between guests and the endless opportunities to take in the Tuscan sunset.

Absolutely fantastic.close to Centro storico, yet quiet annd secluded. Everyone went out of their way to make my stay perfect. And it was, didn’t want to leave.

From the moment we arrived the staff led by Fabio at the front desk welcomed us and offered all the assistance possible, through our entire visit until we were on our way out when Francesco helped with directions and suggestions. The property is very well kept and an excellent location.

Fantastisk skønt hotel, virkelig sødt personale. Morgenmaden er fin, man kan leje cykler så man nemt på 5 min kan komme ned til byen. God placering i forhold til by muren og centrum i byen.

Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. The swimming pool was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing. Fabio at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and even taught us a few phrases in Italian. He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat inside the walled city, which turned out to be some of our favorite meals in Lucca. The lady at the snack bar and breakfast service was equally delightful, always courteous and providing exceptional service that made mornings feel special. Hotel San Marco offered both comfort and genuine hospitality, making our time in Lucca even more memorable.

Walls a little thin. A next door room guest was a loud snorer and kept us awake for 2 nights in a row. Guests in room above us were very noisy also. Staff were excellent particularly Alessio! Location very good and pool was good although works on the adjacent property were loud and annoying when lounging around the pool. Breakfast buffet was good without being remarkable. Shower floor in room 207 slightly damaged and needs repairing .
