Charming room and very clean with helpful staff

Amazing stay if you like history and character. Right at the entrance of Mont-Saint Michel.

This was a fabulous hotel. Clean and perfect in the village beneath the Abbey. Everyone was friendly and the full moon was right out the window. It was a magical stay. The hair dryer was overheating and stopping and they immediate ran one up to me. It was a very nice room with everything we needed.

Staff wonderful

The charm of staying on Mont Saint-Michel was a wonderful experience. Everything about the hotel was as I expected. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. Our room had a little loft which was perfect for our kids. Space was tight but we didn't do much more than shower/change and sleep in the room. We had a wonderful dinner on the island and were able to walk around the city walls in the evening when most of the day visitors had left. We booked an early entry time in the Abbey and being on island overnight made that easy to get to avoiding the longer lines once the busses start dropping off all the day visitors. My only warning is that in the summer the rooms do get hot and with the windows open to cool the room at night you do hear the workers moving supplies to the stores and restaurants over the cobblestone streets very early in the morning. There is no way to avoid that as they need to get their work done and the experience of staying on the island far outweighed any noise issues.

Staying on Mont st Michel was a wonderful experience. The room I stayed in while small, was still charming and offered a fantastic view over the ramparts. Do note, the entire building is tiny, with tight staircases and no possibility of an elevator getting installed. Par for the course for anything many centuries old.

The hotel was charming and a great way to experience Mont St Michel at night and early mornings when tourists are gone. The hotel was clean, our room was quiet, comfortable and in great condition. There were a lot of stairs to climb to get to our room, but it was worth it. Breakfast was 19/per person and nothing special. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We had a great time staying on the island in this cute 4 single bed room. It had 2 single beds pushed together on the main floor and then a loft with 2 single beds. The bathroom was large and newly redone. We were able to open the windows for a draft and it was very quiet until around 9am. We were able to enjoy exploring the island and liked the back door that went right out onto the ramparts. There is a very cute courtyard that guests can access that we didn't realize. Beautiful flowers and tables, we had a picnic out there.

Cute, quaint room perfect for staying on the island and being close to everything. Staff was great.

Seaside, ocean view and great staff

The staff was nice with the exception of the blonde receptionist who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She acted irritated when we first arrived and asked a few questions about check in and what she recommended in the area. The bathroom was dirty but the location was great and the room was small but charming.

It was a beautiful old hotel, and we enjoyed staying there for one night.

The location is amazing. You should always stay overnight on the Mont—all the magic happens after most tourists leave. The staff here are lovely; our room was tiny and pretty basic, but clean. In the end, it’s about the location!

Customer service issue

You can't beat the location. No AC during a hot summer night was made challenging with lots of flies in the area.

Unparalleled location and immensely friendly and helpful staff. Stayed here as a teenager and returned with my four teenage children to share the experience!
