Didn't like that had to reserve parking in adadvance did not know and the fact that they say there is parking but not enough for everyone

This is a mixed review as generally the hotel is very nice, lovely pool area on the roof, room with kitchenette was great. House keeping was fantastic they do an amazing job, so clean. The negatives were the air-conditioning defaults to 28degrees all the time, you set it to a temperature, 10 minutes later it's 28degrees, this meant an uncomfortable night's sleep for our entire stay as the road is too busy and noisy to have the door open at night. We told reception who said an engineer would look at it that day, Saturday, but nothing was done, when we asked reception they said we should not have been told that as the engineer doesn't work weekends.Aparently there were no other rooms we could move too either. The other negative was that you can hear every movement in the apartment above, for example, one night the people in the room above seemed to be doing a furniture removal every couple of hours, most annoyingly at 2am and 6am.

Excellent location walkable to the city centre. Super clean, room was a decent size, comfortable bed (even the sofa bed was comfortable!), well stocked kitchen, very nice cozy rooftop terrace with amazing views and clean pool and hot tub (the hot tub could be a bit hotter for this time of the year), the breakfast exceeded expectations with so much variety and made to order dishes. Even after a full week’s stay we were not bored of the spread available. Staff were polite and friendly. Supermarkets and good restaurants nearby. We enjoyed walking along the sea front. Would recommend a stay here.

Awesome rooftop pool and view towards the sea. Location was also a great location for walking into central Funchal and had bus links too. For any tours booked it’s in the catchment area for hotel collection at least we found anyway. Breakfast was great too!

Terrace Mar is a wonderful place in a great location. The bed was super comfortable, kitchen was functional and having a balcony was great. Breakfast buffet was superb. Staff were very friendly. The rooftop pool was great with awesome views of Funchal. It was one of our favourite places to stay. Highly recommended

Terrace Mar was a great hotel to stay a week visit in Madeira. Very easy to walk, catch a bus or taxi. Eduardo and Renato at the front desk was very accommodating. Fatima made an amazing breakfast. We loved the rooftop pool and hot tub.

The lady in the breakfast room was excelent, very attentive and courteneous. Also very good breakfast.

I didnt like that everyday my keycard wasnt working!

The breakfast was quite varied and tasty. The rooftop pool has nice views and great for sunning and relaxing . Lots of choices for nearby walkable restaurants. Easy, close access for bus transit to Centro.

Lovely room in a good location. Only slight negative was the parking situation around the hotel, but spaces can be paid for at the hotel.

Great centrally located hotel to stay in. You have everything one step outside your door. The staff were all helpful and nice. The restaurant right next to hotel has great food and the servers were all very nice

Great place to stay. Accessible area and the rooms were good. Terrace has good views, a nice pool, and breakfast has lots of options.

The Terrace Mar was a great choice for iur four night stay in Funchal. It is located in a inice area,with plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. The airport bus stop is just around the corner, which was really convenient. We booked a junior suite,which was huge,with everything we needed,a lovely bathroom ,Kitchenette and balcony with a sea view. The roof top pool was small, but really nice and heated,along with the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the Sauna was not available during our stay. All the staff were wonderful,even providing a lovely cake for my birthday as a surprise! We had an amazing break and would definitely stay again.
