I didn’t feel this was a 3 star hotel. Room facilities were poor, no kettle, room wasn’t serviced during stay. Room very dated. That said the location was excellent, breakfast fair and price was reasonable. Staff friendly.

Very compact room and bathroom. Not overly comfortable, but adequate for a 1 (few) night stay. Great breakfast. Staff was nice and the free bus pass we got is appreciated.

Overall, this was a very nice place. The downfalls were that you had to carry your luggage up eight steps to get in the hotel then another flight of stairs to get to the elevator (upon arrival one of the staff helped with that, but the morning we left we had to carry the luggage down ourselves). and once you were off the elevator there were a few stairs to go down to get to the rooms. Our room had two bedrooms and they were very stuffy. You could open the windows but there was some sort of construction going on from the early morning. We didn’t spend the daytime in the room so that was okay for us. The staff was very friendly and a great plus was that each guest was given a free bus pass, which saved a lot of money on Ubers plus the bus stop was right across the street and the bus service took you throughout the city so it was extremely convenient.

I wry close to everything and the middle of Altstadt. The breakfast was outstanding too!

The staff was friendly and very accommodating-there is a public transit stop just 2 minutes away on a major bus route that makes local travel really easy. There are two grocery stores within a couple blocks and a number of places to eat close by with a broad selections of local and international tastes. We had a room with two twin beds as I was traveling with my granddaughter - there are few hotels with that option- the room was small but comfortable and had an enclosed balcony-there is no refrigerator, microwave or air conditioning like in typical US hotels - but for Salzburg it was very pleasant and comfortable and I would very much recommend it

Good stay for a day, you get free travel pass when you arrive. Only downer is water pressure is low in bath tub.

The staff were great! Very accommodating, rooms were cleans and the establishment was quiet. The place is 12 minute walk to old city. The grocer was just 3 minute walk from the hotel.

There was a problem with the heating system ( it was a very cold and rainy 3 days) We had a hard time to change the to to one which had the heater working.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Astoria. It was very conveniently located and we had a very comfortable stay.

No clean towels daily. Water was not hot in shower of bath. Room not cleaned only beds made

Peaceful, comfortable and convenient. Only a few minutes drive from Salzburg zentrum.

Friendly staff was the common point during our days here. Seamless check-in, but sticky on the 2pm incoming time. We were allowed to store our bags free while we toured. Walking distance to the Stiegl Brewery which has wonderful food to complement great beers. Bus day pass is about €4.50 and is within the ticket limits. Can take the bus from the Hbf but make sure you get the right direction (I messed up and had to jump off and re-route). There’s a bus ticket machine close to the hotel. 15 minute bus ride to main square from the hotel. Hope you get the Winchester mystery house room- it’s a blast.

The 1st room we were given there was already someone occuping it, had to go down and get another room. At least we realized it right away. After that we had no issues the staff were very nice.

You had to walk up 1/2 flight of stairs for elevator. Advertised as close to old town but it’s not

The bus stop is right outside and the city centre a 10 min journey away. The area was quiet and really pretty. The staff were very helpful and gave us a bottle of fizz as a honeymoon gift, which was lovely!

Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were very thin. The hotel itself is located more in a residential area of Salzburg, but there’s a bus stop conveniently located outside. It was easy to take the bus to the city. The hotel doesn’t have A/C, but the windows open.

The hotel is good, clean, and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. Bus stop is right across the road, and takes you to the city centre in less than 15 mins (and train station in just over 20 mins). The staff is brilliant. Our son got sick during the stay and they were very accommodating with his needs.
