Room was clean, good location on the promenade and train station was walkable. Small breakfast provided and friendly staff.

My 2nd stay and just as I remembered. A big shout out to the gentleman in the breakfast room who is not only kind and efficient but also make an excellent cappuccino...grazzi!

You had to pay to go on the beech. Good walk to harbour and train station.

Hotel is ideally located on The passeggiata in Viareggio. Service very good, breakfast very nice and hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms are small with modest furnishings but clean & adequate. Shower in our room very small. Towels very good. Pillows & bed very firm. Would very definitely stay here if in the area in the future. Convenient parking across the street from hotel.

Great hotel in a great location. The beach across the street was fabulous. Parking, 5 Euro per night is inexpensive if you pay thru hotel. Great breakfast too.

Great location across the street from the beach. Wonderful rooftop deck to enjoy the beach view and a very nice breakfast. My 3rd time in Viareggio, would definately stay there again...loved it.

Gianlucca was incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped make our stay very enjoyable and had many great recommendations and suggestions. Very good breakfast. Comfortable and clean room (a little small). Air conditioning was not working (hot room) despite website saying the room had air conditioning. Location - great location across from the beach and beach clubs, and a selection of cafes and restaurants. Although a long walk from the train station.

We were very pleased with San Francisco Hotel. Nice beach hotel. Friendly staff, decent breakfast buffet (croissants, juice, coffee, pastries, cereal, meats & cheeses). Across street from private beach clubs. The hotel has a deal with one of them for a discount daily fee. Good location for walking to restaurants & shopping. I would stay here again

Its an obvious statement, but unlike Basil Fawlty's guests I did not have to strain to see the blue line between the land and the sky. Pleasant, straight forward, polite - nothing fussy, nothing fancy - just what was needed.

The hotel had for us a superb location and outstanding staff. It was right on the sea front and it was a good to have a seaview room. Our room was fine and the bed was very good. Reception recommended a family-run beach company across the road which provided umbrella, sunbed and chairs at a reasonable price and a family-style restaurant, offering delicious food.We ate there every day and enjoyed every meal. We had a great breakfast every day at the hotel, very well supervised by the same highly efficient and charming man. Reception staff were equally at the top of their game and nothing was too much trouble for them.We had hired a car for our trip and reception offered an excellent parking deal which enabled us to park at a reasonable price on the sea front right outside the hotel. We went by car to 3 Puccini operas and, once we had found the way, it took us no more that 20 minutes max. to get to and from Torre del Lago. We felt very comfortable at the hotel and the excellent staff explained everying so there were no surprises at any time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return. We strongly recommend Hotel San Francisco, Viareggio.
