Lovely hotel and very friendly helpful staff. We had the family room and it was very spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfy. There was a great choice for breakfast and the staff were always topping up the food, they could maybe benefit from better toasters but that's a minor problem. The hotel is in a lovely location and very handy if going to a concert at the open airport theatre

We had a wonderful overnight stay when attending a concert at the open air theatre. Parking was a bit problematic, as the street parking around the hotel was extremely busy (it was also Armed Forces day) but we hit very lucky in a small car park next to the Scarborough Arms, which was a 5min walk away. Upon check in we were greeted by a lovely, welcoming, friendly lady, who was playing music for the concert we were attending which was a welcoming touch. The hotel was clean, modernised, lovely decor and our sea front room was spacious, with wonderful sea views. En suite was small, but newly renovated, practical and clean. Bed was comfortable and there were portable fans as it was the hottest weekend of the year. Hotel is a 15-20min walk to the theatre and we had drinks in the bar upon our return. Breakfast was plentiful, a good selection of hot and cold options, served in a lovely airy dining room below ground floor level. Staff were attentive, helpful and very friendly, ensuring our stay was a pleasurable one. They couldn't do enough for you. Overall we would definately stay again and recommend!

Stayed in Room 18 Cozy Double which has a fabulous sea view. Small, but perfect for an overnight stay. Hotel is clean, staff are very friendly, and breakfast was very good. Good location for the Open Air Theatre. Definitely recommend.

Had a great , comfortable stay with great sea views..perhaps a water glass in the room would have been good but that was a minor thing

The hotel was perfect location for open air theatre 15 min stroll down the hill. Lovely decor in the hotel very clean and fresh looks like it’s had a recent refurbishment. Breakfast nearly perfect just a small recommendation to chef - just cook the sausages a little longer for that golden brown all over. Our only issue was the room was way too small felt a little cramped everywhere and I’m a big chap , felt a bit like a broom cupboard at the top of the hotel. Maybe next time we can be offered a larger room or better options in the booking process. So stay away from Room 34 if your of big build. Overall though very nice place

Very helpful and friendly staff, first class breakfast,clean comfortable rooms. We were well looked after and enjoyed our stay at Clarence Gardens. From both rooms we had a panoramic sea view.

Lovely hotel with great views. The suite was extra comfortable and the roll top bath overlying the sea views really lovely. Breakfast was good. Room very clean. Staff all lovely. The upstairs dining room a little cramped with multiple people - this is personal preference though as I am sure others would like this.
