It’s ok for an overnight stay and value for money…but… ludicrous to say this is four-star. It’s barely two-star. Rooms very basic. The restaurant hasn’t been open for three years and hard to say whether or not the bar opens. You need orienteering skills to find the private car park. Good breakfast, though

An ideal town centre location for a one night stay. We had two rooms, one standard and one executive and really there was little to choose between them, other than a little more space. Our rooms were on the second floor and it meant a two flight walk up, I'm not sure that there is a lift, perhaps in the other wing, so worth checking if stairs are an issue. Both had good shower rooms and we all slept well. A buffet breakfast was on offer and the receptionist offered to cook a choice of eggs for us all. This hotel used to have a notable restaurant but a change of ownership (and Covid) means that there is no longer an evening meal option. The hotel seemed very quiet for a Friday evening but it was mid March. The hotel has a private car park about 200m away but it looked more secure parking on the street directly in front of the hotel. We would be happy to stay again.

The room was a long way up on the second floor. No lift and very steep final flight of stairs. The curtain was not hung properly and the WC (and therefore the rest of the small room) was very smelly. The fire alarm went off just as i was getting to sleep and we were all out on the pavement for an hour, en deshabille.

Very friendly, helpful staff, let us have a tasty dinner even though we arrived late. Nice room, very clean, clean bathroom, loved the jacuzzi, all very good value. Only 2 less than perfect elements were no lift (fine for me, good exercise with the bags!) and the room was very warm. Lovely view from the room of the beautiful church. Many thanks for having us!

Friendly hotel in decent location. Excellent restaurant, extensive and impressive wine list - though I think one or two of them have gone past their best. Absence of a lift would be a problem for some. Free parking outside only at weekends, but the rest of the time a small municipal fee.

Touch of Old World faded glory. Such a change from Hotel groups. Interesting Art on the walls and a very pretty Good bar. Great Service Traditional food which was well presented and interesting flavours. We have stayed here several times over the last 15 years and not much has changed except some updating with better showers etc. We had my 5 year old grandson with us and they were very good with him and his food. My only criticism was 10 euros for two glasses of milk. Bit steep I thought. Will go there again
