Good location, close to the town and beaches. Cleaning wise was good but lacking customer service. If you are not italian they won’t even try to welcome you or offer information if you need it. Breakfast is very limited and repetitive , not much choice. Same pastries, cakes, fruits every day. I would stay maximum 2 days to enjoy the swimming pool but 1 week was way too long at this hotel.

The installations are in poor conditions. Restaurant - service is unfriendly and the food served was some of the worst we have ever had. The setting and the exterior of the building are unmatchable, but the interior of the building is dated and in poor conditions.

One night’s stay at Fattoria for me, my husband and our 17 year old. The hotel is geared up for a family who love their activities - a full timetable of events, football, tennis, a mini farm and 3 pools. The main pool area was lovely, with a well-stocked pool bar. One thing worth noting, as is sometime the Italian way, this hotel has swimming caps as compulsory. My 17 yr old was not impressed. I think this should be made clear on the website as he did not go in the pool as a result!! (I bought a cap for 4 euros and had a great swim!). We ate in the pizzeria on site (about 15 mins walk - it’s a large site!) We ate outside and could see the outdoor grill/chef busy at work. Good value and great service. Hotel bar had a good atmosphere so we had a drink before bed. Breakfast was served buffet-style in a large room. All very nice. Bedroom was abit dated but OK, we all slept well. Lots of parking spaces. We visited Castiglione della Pescaia but it was very busy and hot. Looked lovely but we didn’t stay long. All in all, lots on offer if you want it. Good hotel in a great spot.

The first day we had an issue with the electricity but they took care of it right away. We loved it there.

Staff was really friendly. No wifi signal in the room even though the listing says they do. There was dirt and a dead fly in the bottom of the tub, but other than that the room was decent.

Enjoyed my stay but would not go in the summer. The key has to be in to get the air on and then it was still too warm. Opened the balcony doors and bathroom window so we could sleep, food was great, I will go again but when cooler.

Huge complex, decently well run, but it caters mostly to large groups (there was a regional union conference there when we stayed, hundreds of participants at meetings and staying overnight). The food at the restaurants is O.K. and cheap but nothing special. Keep in mind the complex is at the end of the runway of a big military air base, and jets take of and land all day and up to 10:00 at night. Still, a good base for exploring Maremma wine country, and very reasonable--free parking, too!

Isolated. Fine for price. Nothing really special except the grounds were nice to walk in.

The hotel is huge and located in a remote location. It appears it was once a grand place with many amenities and rooms, being built as a luxury place. We were there off season so it seemed more like "The Shining". The hallways were dark unless you walked in them. There were all these empty spaces with no life. We were there 2 days and only saw maybe 6 people. The amenities were mostly shut down and not available. You have to pay to use the gym/sauna/hot tub which I don't agree with for the price paid. The breakfast was weak, again, because it was off season. The room was big and nice and comfortable. Nice desk and balcony. We had trouble with the air conditioner (it was turned off for the season) and was difficult to turn back on. Overall I think this place would be great during summer. It was overpriced in my opinion by about $30 a night.

Grand looking hotel with an interior in a sad state of degradation. Hard beds, flat pillows, a leaking bathroom creating big puddles on the floor coming out of the wall beneath the bath. Tired linen and towels. We asked for a room change and settled on the third room viewed. Breakfast was fine and buffet dinner was excellent if a little pricy. In contrast, the grounds were beautifuly kept. Wifi was good. Lovely location. Could be something amazing with a makeover.
