Online photos are misleading and staff needs to be trained in customer service. We were double charged for our room and when we told the reception staff member we had already paid on Expedia she began berating us in a raised voice in French and forced us to pay a second time. Horrible way to start the stay and zero apology. Also note this property backs onto a highway which was not clear to us when we booked. Rooms are outdated and need a good clean. Smelled very musty inside the whole property. Despite this Chateau having its own wine, we were not offered any information on the wine. It was a very odd and disappointing experience.

If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a thousand questions, even made dinner for us after their kitchen was closed when we came home hungry. The crew made our stay extra special. Notice i said come home. Thats how you feel at Chateau Meyre. At home!! Note: the Chateau is a bit remote and you need a rental car preferably or the chateau can find you a taxi but be prepared to pay for it since the distance to Bordeaux city and varied food options is a bit far. Highly recommend for an adorable French countryside experience.

This is a very special place to stay and perfect for a totally relaxing holiday. The cosy bedrooms are in a small extension to the side of the Château, but still very pleasant. The Ceres room has a lovely view of the garden.

It is a gorgeous location with beautiful landscaping, considerate staff, easy parking and very clean. The breakfast was fresh & delicious. The double room was comfortable and well- equipped, but a bit smaller than Iexpected. .

Staying at Chateaux Meyre was a dream! Cannot highly rate it enough. The place was beautiful, the wine was delicious and the food was exceptional. The service and the hosts at the Chateaux went over and above taking care of us - they showed us how to get around and even picked us up and dropped us off when we didn’t have a ride. Exceptional service. Cannot thank Chateaux Meyre enough! Ps. If you’re planning on visiting, rent a car!

A wonderful stay. The chateau is beautiful and the breakfast amazing but it is the warmth of the hosts’ welcome that sets this place apart. Nothing was too much trouble. Small touches like the availability of hot and cold drinks in the dining room are very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed tasting the chateau’s excellent wines. Dinner at a local vineyard recommended by Sophie was exceptional.

Love this little gem. We got there around 8pm and really had not eaten yet and they created an awesome charcuterie board for us with wine. It hit the spot and we were full. Walked through the vineyard and it was so peaceful. In the morning had a great breakfast and headed out to a little beach town that the host recommended and we were not disappointed. Just a peaceful get away after being on the go in Paris for 7 days. Thoroughly enjoyed and thanks to everyone

Chateau Meyre was absolutely fantastic, we spent two nights there and it was perfect. We hadn't planned everything before arriving, but Sophie the host immediately got on the phone and booked us reservations at several wonderful nearby restaurants. They have a lovely winery and really amazing wine, with vineyards both in Haut Medoc and Margaux. We are definitely planning to return next year!

Absolutely stunning place, even more beautiful in person than the pictures! The most friendliest of staff. We are a family of four, when we checked in we asked for dinner, the manager personally went out and bought fresh produce from the local area for our delicious dinner! Wine tasting was amazing. We had the biggest suit with private terrace which was beautiful. Couldn’t rate this place any higher! So friendly and just lovely!!

Chateau Meyre is an exquisite experience from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. The Chateau, vineyard, gardens, winery, and pool are beautifully maintained, and create the perfect atmosphere for a magical and relaxing getaway! Most importantly, the staff at Meyre catered to our every need and provided a privately arranged wine tour on their own grounds with wine tasting, as well as house prepared snacks to enjoy on the terrace. A perfect Castle/Chateau/Wine experience!!
