Samir is the most amazing host ! The small but very comfortable Riad is on the outer area of the old Medina - near a taxi stand which is hugely helpful. The included breakfasts are wonderful. and the terrace is adorable and chill. did i mention how great the staff is?

Beautiful Riad, the staff was possibly the best we experienced in Morocco (and we stayed in 6 different places in Morocco so that is a high compliment). They provided a free map (which came in very handy when our phones died) and common phrases list. They even brewed fresh mint tea and gave us small pastries on arrival, which really helped with the overall relaxing experience. The breakfast was very delicious and you could tell with high-quality ingredients (jams, honey, butter, pancakes, buns, coconut cakes, fresh juice etc) I wish there was more protein though (eggs or yogurt or something savoury). Rooms were very tastefully decorated and had working modern TVs and air-conditioner/heaters. Only drawback is (like many Riads) it is hard to find, initially. Also the location is a bit far, but still within walking distance from the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa) but closer to other attractions (Le Jardin Secret and Dar El Bacha etc) I would highly recommend this Riad and would book again in a heartbeat.

The Riad was fantastic. The service was superb and Aziz made you feel welcome and at home from the beginning. He was very responsive to my emails. We arrived in Marrakech after11PM and were concerned with finding transportation to the Riad. Riad L'Orchidee facilitated our transport from the airport. We were off to a great start. We loved our stay in Marrakech!!

Ghislane and the lovely people at Riad l'Orchidee made my stay comfortable. The riad is near a parking area and main road which makes getting there and away easy. Helpful and friendly staff, sparkling clean rooms and easy accessibility: I would happily return.

Karim was an excellent host, really helpful and chatty. He totally above and beyond what was expected. The place itself is clean and in a convenient location with a great breakfast. Thank you for having us.

It was smaller than I had imagined but it was tidy and clean. The room was small but sufficient with an attached bath and the bed was very comfortable. There is a charming balcony. I wanted to stay longer than time allowed. It is easy walking distance to the old market square. It is difficult to find. You have to walk on uneven cobblestones down dimly lit narrow streets and you have to climb narrow stairs to get to the rooms.

This Riad was nice, but what made our stay so great was the service by Karim! He was FANTASTIC! He was so friendly and accommodating and we would return just because of his service. He went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great experience. Other members of the staff were awesome, as well. Thank you, Karim!!

We called the Riad from our van on our way back from Sahara to get directions but the phone was constantly busy. We were lucky enough to find the Riad. The room was cozy and clean. We requested an early breakfast because we had to catch the 8:00 am train to Casablanca but the breakfast was not ready. The property is not bad but the service leaves much to be desired.

The best choice we could have made for a memorable stay in Marrakech. Riad L'Orchidee is just ideal. Location, service, ambience! The dinner was delicious, every breakfast was a personal experience, the staff could not possibly be more helpful. And Ghizlane organised everything, including our tours, to perfection. We had a wonderful time. Ghizlane and the whole team are just amazing! Thank you so much.

Overall, it was the only unpleasant stay on my trip, and I visited Scotland, England, Portugal and Morocco on this trip. To start, the RIad (Hotel) is hidden in a not that nice part of the medina. When our tour guide came to pick us up for a tour the reception girl told him that we had checked our already (not true), fortunately, I overheard my name and came to meet our guide. Last,, but not least, it is the only hotel in all the countries that I have been that has charged us for a map of the city (one euro). It is not the amount, but the gesture.

Enjoyed our time at the Riad in Jasmine room (5 nights)but comment on the following to ensure people are fully aware of the standard of the Riad: Jasmine room: concrete screed for a floor in the en suite area. The shower area had mould on the wall near the base. This was cleaned on request. 6 coat hangers provided for 3 people. (4 more provided after on request) Insufficient for a 5 night stay. Shelving to store clothes in the ensuite area but no drawers Shower virtually impossible to obtain steady temperature, one had to hand hold the head to prevent scalding Small room safe but proprietor never provided key when requested. Towels provided gradually became more threadbare as the days progressed. Main sleeping area was attractive but the dust in one area never moved in the 5 days. One small plunge pool. No pool on terrace. Roof terrace is very shabby in need of TLC. Lounger cushions are threadbare and whole area looked neglected. Two budges caged in the dinning area near downstairs rooms. They tweet early, bring ear plugs (Also call to prayer broadcast around Medina at around 6am). Breakfast OK consisting of pancakes, occasional omelette, sweet rolls, banana and sweet jams/ honey. Riad is located in a shabby area but felt safe. Hotel charges 5% for credit card payments Excursions overpriced

This riad is beautiful, calm, and tranquil. It's a great escape to the rush and noise of Marrakech outside. We had a room on the ground floor that was very spacious, comfortable, and well organized. We felt a bit like royalty! The courtyard is so charming with the pool and waterfall and the breakfast served in the morning was plentiful. We had stayed in a different hotel (dar) in Marrakech earlier in our trip which was on the other side of the Jemaa el Fna square and the neighborhoods were quite different. There it was very quiet and residential while around Riad L'Orchidee, you have a real working neighborhood. I actually recommend it, it's safe and about a 15-20 minute walk to the square which takes you through streets filled with people and everyday shops (i.e. not touristy). It can be a little intimidating but, as I mentioned, we felt very safe. It's also convenient for the Ali Ben Youssef Medersa and Majorelle Garden. In short, we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here in November for 4 nights and had a lovely time. It is a good location to give you an insight to Marrakech's little alleys and only a short walk to the souks. Friendly staff, clean room and good breakfasts. The roof terrace was a good space to sit outside.

I was a little surprised when i first arrived and the taxi driver walked me down two small back alleys with children running around to a small door in the wall. I had not been to Marrakech before so i was not sure what to expect but it wasn't this. Inside, my initial impression was that the photos posted on Expedia were generous but actually at night, like the rest of Marrakech, the colour and vibrancy appears. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, they were excellent and gave good advice/suggestions. The riad is located 10-15mins from Jamma El Fina, the main square, which is great because it gets you away from the mad rush and inside l'Orchidee became a sanctuary. Overall i grew to appreciate this Riad, i enjoyed my stay, it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and the staff were great.
