Beautiful property, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent! We had a wonderful time.

The 5 star rating system really needs a review and this hotel is a perfect example of why. Bad management, poor communication, terrible resturant service and patchy information given from one guest to another. I could go into every detail but it would take hours. This hotel is a 3 star at best and has alot to do to improve.

This was truly a dream! I will definitely come back to Lugano and stay here. It was raining the entire time but it made the stay more romantic. Gabrielle and the entire staff at Swiss Diamond were/are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The spa was beautiful as well! Very relaxing! Thank you thank you Thank you

Beautiful hotel right on the lake

The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. If you plan on being out majority of the day then i would say it’s fine but if you care about appearance and you plan on spending a lot of time in the room then maybe look at other options. Overall I had a good experience The breakfast is pretty good as well. If you’re traveling from over seas I’d recommend renting a car

Had a barking dog in the roim below us. Not good. Staff was helpful in getting owners to mostly stop it. Wont stay where dogs are allowed again.

We had 2 rooms for one night, upon checkin we requested side by side rooms and were accommodated. Our rooms were not exceptionally hot and we adjusted the temperature before leaving for dinner. When we returned, rooms were not any lower in temperature and we were advised that the hotel is fully booked and there are. No rooms to change to. Along with this, maintenance advised us that we were the only ones complaining and

Staff is friendly but there is no AC. Spoke to front desk, but they mentioned the entire hotel has no AC because this time of year it is off. So the room was extremely uncomfortable. They brought us a fan, but it was loud and not helpful. We opened the window, only to have cigarette smoke enter our room. Gross. little disappointed considering what I paid. Find an alternative as there appears to be no solution for this problem. They gave us 2 other room options, both of which had no AC.

Lovely find between Morcote and Lugano. Shuttle bus collected us from Lugano train station for an our 2 night stay. We had a very large room overlooking the lake. Everything was clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Morcote or a bus/shuttle ride away from Lugano. The spa and restaurant were also of high quality.

No A/C ; Sub standard Conceirge services, should not advertise as a five star.

We had a small hiccup during check-in regarding the quality of our room, but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Natalia for her excellent service. Overall, the team made our experience wonderful despite the initial issue. Highly recommended!

this was an awful place to stay at. They played loud music from 10 in the morning till 2:30 AM Supposedly for a wedding event and refused to turn it down in spite of us and other guests advising them, none of us could sleep and as a result of a completely sleepless day and night adding exhaustion to our travels, we wound up getting sick and required antibiotics and medical treatment for the next seven days to cure the problem. on top of that they insisted on charging us for the room. Certainly I have stayed in many five star hotels and this is not one of them and none of them, would allow this to go on to the discomfort of all of the other guests and in addition charge for the accommodations. we will protest these charges and I don’t recommend anyone go to this hotel. Finally the lake has become very dirty and it’s questionable it’s any longer considered as swimmable s the water is cloudy with a lot of debris, including what looks like unburned fuel on top of it making that aspect of the waterfront enjoyment impossible. Consequently, almost none of the guests went into the lake for a swim. Finally the food has become mediocre and very very expensive. Much more than many 5 star hotels This hotel at one time was fine but now it should not be considered a five star, but rather a two or three star and certainly not recommended
