Amazing stay, the building has a charm worth experiencing. Hotels.com should update the Google maps link, as when selecting the directions using the app sent us to a farm in the middle of nowhere 10miles away from the property

Beautiful place. Third time have stayed. Very upset restaurant was closed, it would have been best to have known before booking, as booking wasn't cancellable.

Beautiful historic building with lovely gardens and spa pool. Friendly staff and decent restaurant. We booked a family suite which wasn’t really set up for 3 people other than a sofa bed in the lounge area. Only 2 bottles of water, 2 chairs on the patio and 2 comfortable chairs inside. Would have scored 5 stars across the board if they could better accommodate 3 people.

We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good

The Gardens and Grounds were lovely. However, there were virtually no staff - possibly because there were only 2 other guests and consequently we were asked if we would accept a room in the main building rather than what we had booked in a villa. The first room we were given smelt of drains. We were moved to the second floor with no lift which was inconvenient for my wife. The evening meal was very disappointing (processed food) and the last straw was no hot water the next morning. We left a day early and were told that there would be no refund - Although I hadn't asked for one a gesture would have been appreciated.

This is a stunning property because of its unique building and large, lovely estate. The 1610 original structure is intriguing yet the rooms are reasonably modern.

Hotel had beautiful gardens with a lovely swimming pools which our two young boys enjoyed. Good restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included. The chef organised an amazing chocolate birthday cake for our son who turned 6 while we were there.

We had the unique opportunity to stay 3 nights at Torre de Ruesga. This 400 years old palace was thoughtfully reconstructed, creating perfect harmony between modernity and history in every detail. Sleeping at the top of the stone tower really makes you imagine how people lived there 400 years ago. The garden and the surroundings are extremely beautiful and peaceful. breakfast is standard, but the highlight is definitely the personal service and hospitality. The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay special, and especially Gonzalo - the perfect host, knowledgeable and patient, who tailored trips and sightseeing for us in the beautiful area of Cantabria.

The hotel is midst wonderful scenery yet only 40 minutes from Santander or Bilbao ferries. The service from the owner Giorgio was excellent and the restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. Clean and comfortable spacious rooms tastefully decorated with all amenities. We have already booked for a return visit later in the summer.

Had a good overnight stay. Wonderful old building in the mountains 20 mins from motorway to Santander. Only 21 Euros for a three course dinner. Take the road over the pass to Santander from La Cavada to Ville for good views and see the Eagles

The hotel grounds were beautiful. We changed our original room because of strong mold odor in it. The second room also smelled of mold. It was so strong an odor that several days since our stay, our clothing/luggage still has a moldy residue smell. That said, the staff was very accommodating, breakfast was lovely.

Innmari koselig med rom i tårnet som gikk over to etasjer! Praktisk med kjøleskap på rommet. En tv i hver etasje. Utrolig fin hage med to bassenger.
