Tyrifjord hotel is my goto hotel in Modum, they always provide great service, and its location by the lake makes it lovely and quiet!

Great location, great staff and service

Excellent property with one exception: they need an elevator badly. We’ve not been in any hotel of this quality that did not have an elevator.

From the relaxing waterfront to the sumptuous breakfast, this hotel was a lovely stay about an hour's drive from Oslo. Inside the hotel is modern. The indoor and outdoor bar area and dining rooms make for an enjoyable visit.

Definitely off the beaten path but a super fun find! Dinner & breakfast were very good and the property was right on the water with small marina. Outside sitting areas were very cozy with flower arrangements and lit candles morning and night. A real gem

Can’t beat the view! Not a 4 star hotel though! Rooms are average, but clean. No car charging or sauna available as advertised. Ordered margarita pizza for dinner and it was a below average cheese pizza. Overall satisfied if the hotel was advertised as a 3 star without a sauna or car charging

Great hotel in an off-the-beaten area mostly enjoyed by the locals. Nice and well equipped facilities. We had a water view room and excellent breakfastm

Location was great. Plenty of space to walk around and eople can swim in the fjord close to the hotel.

I stayed at Tyrifjord as part of a reunion and it was a great hotel, both for the reunion and the stay itself!

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, the room was really not as per pictures in the app, it was a small room with low ceilings for a couple both over 1.80 m tall. They have a minigolf course but you have to pay extra. Great parking and great service at the restaurant. We hoped for a great idylic stay before our flight back to UK but that was not the case, we had a small crowded room and the overall feeling of being sidelined, maybe because of the wedding on site... We will not stay there again and do not recommend to anyone to do so.

Tasty breakfast buffet, friendly staff, clean facility; we also liked the swimming next door in the fjord; great for families

Nice hotel with a beautiful out door area. Nice rooms and good food. The breakfast could have been better. Other than that everything was really good.

When checking in, i specifically asked for a roomwith "good wifi". While the room was both beautiful and comfortable, it was also the "king of the corner" - on the end & at the end of the building. The wifi was the most distressing of the five plus hotels in the past week in Norway. It worked best at checkout. Luckily, the end of the trip to Norway was not wifi dependent.

Nice location if you want to chill out. Far from Oslo & airport but very scenic location.
