The hotel interior was dated and the rooms were dark, the place could do with being refurbished. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. There's not many options for local restaurants for dining out

Nice hotel, good breakfast, disappointed there was no sauna or storage for all ski equipment. We're used to boot warmers and saunas

Lovely little chalet-style hotel set in the famous ski resort of Lillehammer. Comfortable and warm but the room could have been a little cleaner (hence the 4 stars). The buffet breakfast was absolutely huge and delicious. A nice stay.

The staff was very helpful, train station is a short taxi ride away, a good location.

Convenient location 2hrs out of Oslo and first stop on Norway driving holiday. Welcoming staff, and comfortable room. At end of long corridor. Lovely breakfast and quality dinner.

Do to circumstances beyond my control, I missed my flight and requested a reimbursement which I received. Any hotel that I get this level of understanding from gets my vote.

Breakfast was great, location is convenient.

Great stay, a lot of space in the hotel and in our room. The breakfast was excellent and the hospitality among the breakfast staff was in a class of its own. A small minus for a very warm room, hard to sleep for the children.

The hotel was warm and very welcoming, the staff were lovely and always helpful. The meals offered daily were of a great standard and always well presented. The only down side to the hotel was the beds in the rooms, the queen bed was made up of 2 small singles and topped with a memory foam topper. It wasn’t very comfy and the beds moved apart too easily. Overall a great stay and I’d go back again. But would request a better bed if one was available

Superb breakfast and great beds compensated well for general run-down appearance of hotel corridors and furnishings. Great social areas if you come as a group.

We had a great time at the hafjell hotel, the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, the only problem we had was that we booked for a queen bed and got 2 singles, not a huge problem we just pushed the beds together, the buffet breakfast was incredible, I would definitely stay here again

Great place, great pub on island as well. Great ferry service, small rooms but still a great place.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful especially the receptionist. The breakfast which was included was great. It was a great place to stay for our trip to the slopes. We felt very safe here. The hotel was always warm which was so important considering the temperature outside. The general decor in the bedroom areas was tired and the bedroom was very small for three of us.
