The food in the restaurant was amazing. The spa is a MUST when you stay in this castle. Small town with amazing welcoming people.

Excellent spa facilities including bread sauna and flotation therapy. Friendly and accommodating staff. Away from crowded Mikołajki resort town, with small boardwalk and town beach steps from the hotel.

Our economy room was put above the kitchen and the only window was facing the inside of the restaurant. We heard the restaurant all day and night and we were bombarded by the smell of sausage grease in our room. We left after one night. Would not recommend this for budget travelers.

Very disappointing stay at Hotel Zamek Ryn. The place looks amazing on the pics and from the outside, however the room that was offered to us was a disgrace, and should not be rented out to anyone. Very hot, very cramped, uncomfortable beds, and dirty. No AC, so asked for a fan because it was very hot (+30C outside), at 11pm a nice lady from the hotel staff brought... a portable heater because fans were not available. We finally received one the following day when it was much cooler. The upside down shower faucet, a splashing sink faucet, broken bathroom tiles, obnoxiously dirty telephone and remote control just added to the overall poor impression of the room. It was very difficult to have a rest in there, and we avoided the room as much as we could coming back later in the evening, and leaving early in the morning. Pool is ok, but tends to be overcrowded. The breakfast area is understaffed, and a long line forms to get coffee, or food. We did not feel welcomed, and will not stay there again. Again, very disappointing stay because the castle looks super impressive, and the town Ryn is picturesque, and worth visiting. The hotel management should be ashamed to have guests in rooms such as the one offered to us. The hotel restaurant is excellent, so if you really want to visit the castle, I recommend to stop by to have a diner, and to look for a room somewhere else.

The village nearby is nice, we only stayed 1 day and I think that is enough to enjoy everything. The hotel is nice and also unusual. The only downsides I'd point out are that breakfast is very limited, especially for vegetarians, also the pool is a lot smaller than it looks on the photo and was crowded with children when we were there.

Positives: None that I can think of at this time. Negatives: The staff was not very welcoming and gave a feeling that they did not care for foreign tourists. Meals were very expensive and quite small portions. Getting a massage was impossible because a reservation was needed in advance. We tried to make reservations before our stay, but no one ever returned our emails. The town is very small and not much to do. This is a case of the website building up a property to have it disappoint in person.

The castle theme is nice, but staff members are lacking in personality. Dinner was very disappointing. Food was lacking in flavor and undercooked.

In overall hotel is nice. Beautiful view, great swimming pool in the dungeons, and good breakfast. But that 4star hotel doesn’t have air conditioning and with 30 degrees C outside it was unbearable.
