Very friendly staff, great location, and quiet room.

Wow! What a disappointment. In a city with only one 5 star hotel, how on earth can this be 4 stars. I should have known based on the initial communication from the hotel on their recommendations. They told me to look online or Get Your Guide for tour/visit suggestions.... Don't let the charming court yard picture fool you. It is basically the path to the breakfast area. Here are some highlights: The hotel is basically a set of apartments. Our room was completely detached from the main hotel and had several other residential homes in between. The room also makes no mention that it has no elevators... we were on the third floor and our doorman could not handle our luggage. I ended up carrying most of the bags up out of pity. I carried them all down since there is no service. The room I selected was expected to be spacious but felt all wrong (bed was on a mezzanine). The room materials was budget decor. The from desk staff were not helpful. My only request was asking if I can call a van for transport and that was met with a response as if it's near impossible (I called an Uber van). No attempt was made to help with the bags... The only saving grace at this hotel was the restaurant it had a wonderfully attentive server (breakfast itself was forgettable). The restaurant across the street is a convenient and good choice. The location is outside the core old city (quieter area). Room WIFI code says it all... laughably bad. One of my worst hotel experiences.

A nice hotel on the edge of the old town, around 10 minutes walk away to the centre. Room was spacious and very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was nowhere near as good as people make out on here however

Pros: very clean, older property but the cleaning staff do a great job. Fernando especially is a great staff member helping with a very good breakfast experience. Cons: no exhaust in the washrooms, very linty sheets, room unit fan not working, no elevators (important for those that have heavy luggage or mobility issues).

Stayed for 2 nights in late September, in triple room. Excellent hotel for our needs! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast out in the courtyard and orangery was fantastic!! A great place! Highly recommend in your wanting an authentic Italian stay!

This hotel has the perfect location, just a short and pleasant walk to the centro of Bologna. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet, included with the stay, is a wonderful plus with plenty of options to start the day. Everything is very clean and well maintained, making it a comfortable and stress-free place to stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bologna!

Great service

I recently stayed at Hotel Port Mamolo in Bologna and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is conveniently located near all the main sites in Bologna. The property was clean with a beautiful garden area. A very lovely breakfast was included as well. There are 2 nice restaurants on the same street…I received excellent service at Osteria Antica and the food was fantastic. I am a solo, mature female traveler and I felt very safe here. Safe travels!

Nice garden and pleasant facility. The TV in the room was not working. They tried fixing and offered a different room but we were already unpacked. Breakfast was good .

We were only there for one night and really enjoyed the breakfast in the beautiful garden.

The hotel is conveniently located near the old town-just a short walk. More importantly, the staffis sweet and VERY helpful. Claudia went above and beyond to help us with our lost luggage.

Such a gorgeous hotel right in the centre of Bologna! The central courtyard was such a suntrap and filled with greenery, I wish I stayed in Bologna longer just to make the most of the hotel!

This is a tremendous hotel and worth the quick cab ride from the station. The breakfast was varied and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The folks at the front desk were great and arranged our dinner reservations since we don't speak Italian. The bedroom was clean and comfortable.

This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff and pretty garden. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay again.
