Fantastic stay!

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The balcony had fantastic views and we loved sitting out there with a glass of wine. Everywhere around the property was very well maintained, the seiipool was very clean and the owners friendly and helpful.

I booked this property 6 months in advance after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews. My wife and I couldn't believe it when we arrived from Heraklion and drove thru the seaside town of Georgioplous and then up the hillside to Alkion Apartments. It was amazing! We were greeted with a warm welcome and fresh hand squeezed OJ a frappe and homemade cakes. This is a family owned and operated property and they are the most friendly, kind and helpful people you will meet. EVERYTHING IS VERY CLEAN. The home cooked breakfast is delicious and you will not beat their prices. I think all the reviews I read can summerize that this is a great place to stay while on Crete.

Breathtaking views perched on the hills overlooking the sea and the white mountains. Run by a wonderful and helpful local family. I loved this property even with the tiny shower and slow internet (Whole area is slow). This is the best place for this area, close to a beautiful town Georgioupoli and to over 6-10 miles of beach. It has a nice pool but the balconies are the steal.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful,clean and gorgeous landscaping the hotel is family run and everyone is very friendly and welcoming and very affordable rates hoping to return next year.

Very clean, quiet, very friendly and helpful owner, perfectly equipped kitchenette

On arrival at Albion we were greeted by Dimitri and we were given coffee and cake. When we were ready Dimitri helped with our cases. Our apartment was right at the top. The bed faces out to the mountains. There was everything one needed along with the care and attention from the family. Our air conditioning unit stopped working and while we were out a technician was called and it could not be repaired. We were then moved tho another room. While the air on there was noisy it was acceptable although we were then provided with a stand alone fan. We really cannot find anything wrong with the property so long as you are not expecting a luxurious establishment. The shower has been mentioned as being hand held, but it seems that is the norm here in Crete.

Unpretentious nice place to stay on the side of the hill with a lovely view into the bay.

I have run out of superlatives........another return trip to the Alkion and great to see the family and the guests who return year after year.

the place was good but the room smells bad. the view of the hotel is very nice. the neighborhood is great.

Another visit (my sixth) to my favourite holiday destination - and once again I was not disappointed with the lovely welcome .

We stayed 2 weeks we picked a car up at chania airport, so we were very independent. It was so lovely hardly touristy at all, with wonderful places to vist nearby.

Great hotel, fabulous views and a great service. The lovely family couldn't do more.

Excellent hotel

Fourth time back to Alkion Apartments - was welcomed like one of the family. It was as immaculate as ever and I shall return again! Can't be beaten for location and service........and great value of course.
