Beautifully decorated guest dining room and living room, fresh continental breakfast,

Room was clean. Breakfast was good and lots of variety. Air conditioning in the room was fine.

Very clean property and room, and staff are very helpful. It was also very quiet. It's a charming old building. The room for 1 person only is on the smaller side, but as long as you know that going in, you'll be fine. :)

We had a wonderful stay in Pictou at the Braeside Country Inn. Sweet little spot with a wonderful host. The place was clean and quaint with lots of nice touches in this historic building. If you’re looking for a place that’s different from the ordinary, has charm, and character, this is the place for you.

Great location and lovely owners

The hotel is set in a beautiful location. The property its self is very tired and could use to be updated and deep cleaned. I loved the area and I would likely opt to stay in New Glasgow or one of the many bed and breakfasts when we return to the area.

Friendly staff - helpful info arriving & ok continental breakfast. Very old Victorian inn has been updated but with carpet & paint and as expected with old buildings the heat/ a/c unit didn’t keep up so left with a muggy nights sleep.

The location is convenient, but I wasn’t quite satisfied with the overall experience. The owner came across as rather unprofessional, and the check-in process was not pleasant. The policies seemed vague and kept changing, with inconsistent statements throughout, which made the stay more frustrating than it should have been.

It was a lovely spot with wi derful outdoor seating areas. The room was very clean and comfortable. The air co ditioner was noisy so we opted for open windows and the ceiling fan. Breakfast was alright.

Owner is kind and helpful. The rooms are tidy but very simple. Breakfast was included and it was a nice continental spread. Very close to restaurants on the harbour.

The hotel is so charming! It was amazingly clean for such an old building. The owner is lovely and bends over backwards for her guests. It is set in a quaint little area with nice views and we even watched deer walk through the yard. The fan and air conditioning was quite noisy. It is a Big old hotel and the shower ran for 5 minutes and still never got warm enough to get in! We took a bird bath before continuing our road trip! The continental breakfast was satisfactory and the room it is in was stunning! To be fair to the Host we never told her about the shower…we were possibly too impatient to get back on our drive. We drove the whole of Nova Scotia and Cape Breton in 6 nights! Amazing…

Lovely, historic hotel close to restaurants and wharf. Clean rooms with a lovely view. Linda is a welcoming owner/hostess.

Comfortable bed, quiet, older property quaint. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Nice view of the harbour from our window and lots of fresh air. Washroom was small but clean. There was a deer in the parking lot when we arrived which was neat.
