Bare with me, this may start off poorly, but it gets better. Initially, when we arrived at the property, we felt disappointed. The outside of the property looks really run-down. Scaffolding, dirty white paint. Just tired and old. Like a neglected school. However, once inside things improve, massively. I found it warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything looks in a good statenof repair etc. The room we stayed in was large with a lovely bath and a sea view. Bed was overly firm, but everything else was lovely. No snacks in the room, there was cold milk and water in the fridge. The bar area is nice. Lots of seating, free pool table, good selection of drinks and an outside area. The spa was lovely (have to book between 10am and 6pm) with large hot tub, seating, sauna, steam room and a hammam (recommend). Decent size swimming pool also available. Good location for the coast path, Mawgan Porth is lovely, though not much in the way of shops. Continental breakfast was epically good. Lots of choice, amazing baked goods, made on site and good coffee. If you want a cooked breakfast as well, its £8. Didn't have myself, but looked amazing. Did eat in what i think is The Wild Café. Prices are not cheap, but i suppose thats pretty standard for a hotel restaurant. Burger and chips is £24, as is wild mushroom risotto. We had a croque monsieur and a side of fries, which came to £18 each. delicious, lots of filling and great chips. I can't say more as I've run ou

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Catarina. The spa area is a calming space with a large jacuzzi and beautiful views out to sea. The location of the hotel is great, set on the cliffs with stunning sea views. We signed up to do the complimentary Pilates session with Suzanne, which we both loved! We had a lovely breakfast and an evening meal at the Wild Cafe. The home baked artisan breakfast was a huge hit with us!

Lovely staff The best sea view I have ever seen! Quiet and elegant Lovely breakfast - although additional cost for cooked for breakfast each day. Booking slightly misleading as says ‘free breakfast’ but it is only the buffet selection included which is cheese and pastries fruit etc nice selection if not after cooked breakfast specifically. Spa facilities top notch and lovely, a little dated in design. The building looked a little run down and the atmosphere was flat (maybe the season as wasn’t very lively) no music on in the bar or lounge etc just silence. I would stay again as I felt safe and private and the housekeeping was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond everytime.

The hotel is luxurious without being stuffy. All the staff I encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and I especially enjoyed the cookies. The communal areas are fantastic, so comfortable and brilliant for reading a book with a view. The breakfast has lots of options and is delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had a lovely stay. The views were amazing especially from our bedroom. The food was lovely. Staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. 2 minor niggles. The diet coke was awful. Sorry to say as was locally produced but was definitely not to my taste or to many others and there was no other sugar free options only tonic which I personally don't like. Secondly the tv was in totally the wrong position. It couldn't be viewed from the bed on one side due to the position on the bed wall and also the hanging light fixtures were in the way. Luckily we didn't need the tv but we had lovely weather so weren't in our room much. Would definitely return and recommend.

Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again

We arrived early, but found it hard to find parking, as there was day visitors.. so we headed to the bar, plenty of seating, along with amazing views, very clean and such friendly kind staff. We decided to have lunch, with glass views, and a glass of wine, and a massive toasted sandwich/ salad/ chips. We could of shared, well presented, super tasty, amazing quality. Then took a walk to the beach, a little narrow, but not difficult, you're find a shop for essentials, & beach shop, pub/ restaurant. The room we had was land view, [ carpark ]no noises, the room was big & double shower, amazing size, nice & hot with pressure. We booked the o go. Lovely restaurant, stunning views, candle light, consistency with everything. Informative with food ingredients, where it comes from, & of the land, we had risotto as I'm a veggie, so 1 option for me, omg, the best ive ever tasted. But the cost of 2 main meals, & bottle of wine was £ 115..so not cheap. The next day breakfast was amazing, lots of selection, if you require a fried breakfast, this cost is £6. Very tasty.. perfect. They have there own bakery, they do not disappoint. They cater for dietary needs. We pre booked a spa in for a massage. Amazing treatment, & issues with my shoulder, all sorted. We then had a sunday lunch, wow the best, plenty of it. This was £ 66 with 1 wine. There is a pool table, but a family there, seem to stay on it. ? All staff, are are lovely, friendly.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly from reception to spa to waiting staff, could not fault them. Also the food was really good, we ate in the more relaxed restaurant one night and it was lovely. Breakfast was always fresh and varied. We used the pool and spa but didn’t have any treatments. The area was always clean and well looked after and the pool was lovely and warm!

Gorgeous hotel. Super child friendly, yet perfect for adults too. My only complaint was that the pool is FREEZING! But other than that it was one of my favourite family holidays.
