Nice Hotel with great restaurant. Good location, directly on the Ruhr and in easy walk to old town Herdecke.

We asked receptionist about a car parking space and she said there was none available but we could look around we didn’t know where to start luckily a male receptionist told us where there would be one and later we got parked at hotel. We were staying for 6days and on the 4th day there was a party downstairs in a function room just below us we were on the first floor all we heard was boom boom even the bathroom pipes were rattling it went on until 2.45am we had been given no warning, we checked out on the Monday and I told the receptionist we weren’t happy about being kept awake and he apologised. We will not be going back.

The fall evening was great with a walk along the river and in the small village center just near by. The hotel is very well located next to important highways but quiet and cozy.

The hotel is along the river which is very beautiful. The rooms are average quality with some dated furniture, but overall clean.

It's a very nice hotel with large rooms and a nice breakfast. Pleasant location along the river.

Brilliant good food good service recommend

I was delighted with this hotel, it was clean and the food was first class. The staff were helpful, the rooms were well laid out and very clean and the amenities were second to none, Lovely balcony overlooking the Ruhr The young girl in the downstairs bar was exceptionally friendly and very welcoming. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended

The Hotel is situated in a beautiful garden area by the river. The room was very clean and good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good.

Comfortable stay at a reasonable cost

Convenient as on a business trip. friendly, clean, modern, looked over the Ruhr - but was close to a busy road - so you could hear the hum of traffic in the night.

It should be one of the cheapest hotels near Dortmund (from Hotel.com). It is a very nice hotel for vacation. Good breakfast buffet. Nice small town Herdecke. (But I don't think they have Aircon in summer). If no car, pay special attention to the train schedule. Only 1 train per hour go & back from Dortmund city and no train after 10pm. Not a good choice as a cheap Dortmund city alternative.

Unfortunately they were having record high temperatures during our stay and the air conditioning systems were having a difficult time keeping up. Otherwise the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable.
