This is an older style family hotel located in a beautiful location. It is an ideal place for families or tourists that are looking to get away from the cities. It is 1 and a half hours away from Okayama station by bus. There is a nice little marine museum nextdoor and a couple of family run cafes nearby. It's a predominantly Japanese speaking hotel, I would recommend staying here if you are a fluent Japanese speaker or have a good translation app. We didn't try the hot spring however the indoor pool was a great place to swim when it gets too hot outside to swim in the sea. The hotel has a large section of beach where you can swim in the sea safely, they also have lifeguards on duty. The staf are very friendly and are always happy to help.... Even if your Japanese is very poor like mine!

The overall rating is not a reflection of the staff and their service quality, which was excellent. Since we did not adequately plan for the weekend trip to Naoshima, we found the accommodations very good from a perspective of room size and private bath, in relation to other traditional Japanese hotels. The hotel is a little remote from Naoshima island; however, the beach area is a beautiful site. The rooms and facilities are a little dated and in need of a remodel with the exception of the ONSEN which was excellent, clean, spacious, with shampoo, hair treatments, body lotion, sauna, massage room, indoors and outdoor hot springs etc. We found the food a bit challenging as it was a majority Japanese style.

This is my second visit to this resort hotel. Parking is available and is included in hotel rate. The buffet in the morning and evening offers mostly a range of Japanese dishes but with a wide range on offer. The room we stayed in was small which is typical of Japan hotels. The amenities are dated but there was a USB charger installed in our room which is not typical. But the highlight is the hotel onsen. It features a medium sized pool with a small outdoor rock pool. If you are intimidated by the onsen experience this could be a great starters point to get you enjoying an onsen.

Free pick up from Kojima Station. Ocean view rooms are nice with balcony. Bus stops at hotel entrance for Uno station (Naoshima Ferry) and Okayama Station.
