Great location, friendly staff. Room had a beautiful view of the castle. We ran out of toilet paper our 3rd night and we were surprised no one had cleaned our room when we came back after a long day. The gentleman at the front desk asked someone to clean our room (no one was available at the time). He ended up delivering the toilet paper himself (God bless him). The cleaners came after he left cleaned the bathroom but did not vacuum the floor after I had asked (we got crumbs on the carpet after eating a scone). It was the weekend and they were busy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was great. Room very spacious and clean. Would recommend

The bed and pillows weren’t the greatest. Also the temp of the room was either freezing or way too hot. Adjusting it didn’t help. But the staff was great.

Nice stay clean rooms. Not a lot of gluten free options at the restaurant except for breakfasts which offered amazing waffles that were GF.

Lovely hotel, beds where very comfortable the room was clean .. loved having a coffee maker in the room bathroom was well equipped and very clean

Very helpful staff and the newly renovated suites were spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal for walking to all attractions.

This was our second time staying here because we loved it so much the first time. But we were a little disappointed this time. Staff lost a part of our luggage and had a rude staff member for a late greeting (11pm) at door and wouldn’t let us order room service. All in all would stay again as location and parking are great!

Kilkenny was a wonderful town and the Pembroke Hotel made our stay just perfect, wish we had more time there. We will come back!

Breakfast service very poor. Left waiting ages to order..ordered cereal to come before hotplate. Companions received hotplate at same time as my cereal. Brown bread not v fresh..

Stayed for two nights in a twin room. The Pembroke is rated as a 4 star hotel but came across as very average. The beds and in particular the pillows were very uncomfortable and as such experienced little no sleep. While the hotel staff were helpful in providing additional pillows it didn't provide any additional comfort. Bathroom was mostly clean however if you struggle any mobility issues you may have difficulty getting in and out of the bath/shower as the bath height is very high. Had breakfast both mornings of the stay. Ok choice for breakfast options. Unfortunately any hot food/drink was lukewarm at best. If you are looking for a decent night's sleep and breakfast then this is not hotel for you.

Like my previous visit I was impressed by the hotel and its location and amenities. The staff in the bar were excellent and the food and service was fully up to expectation. The only slight disappointment was the service at breakfast, when I was provided with a pot of cold coffee and it took 10 minutes for a team member to appear to replace it. I can survive the morning without food but not without coffee.

Stayed for St Paddy’s and was ideal!

Wonderful hotel with delicious breakfast and super comfortable room. 2 minute walk to everything in town and there is a car park for guests included great stay

Have been a few times and have always enjoyed the location and staff and the rooms are grand. I was a bit disappointed this time as there was works going on in one of the rooms beside me and they started before 9am… when I rang to ask them to stop so early, they advised that they would wait till after 9am… how is someone meant to enjoy a relaxing morning in a hotel when there is that type of noise going on? A heads up would have been nice and maybe drilling sound be after checkout!

Great location in the heart of the city

The hotel is right in the heart of Kilkenny with all rhe major tourist spots within comfortable walking distance. The rooms are really soacious and very comfortable and the staff are wonderful. I'm very happy to recommend the Pembroke to other visitors.
