The staff was very courteous, welcoming and accommodating. I felt very comfortable.

The room was good, breakfast was excellent. I paid for the sauna as there for 2 nights and it was very good. The staff were good. Not much in the bar and we decided to eat out for alternative options

Clean , good location

Breakfast was delicious and the best we had while touring Central Europe. Since we started our vacation in this area, we guessed it would be hard to beat during the rest of our trip. We were right. This hotel has one of the best breakfasts. The hotel was very clean and our room was nice. The restaurants, etc. outside the hotel were okay, and the location is convenient to Bonn and Koblenz (where we went next).

Overall, it's a nice hotel with modern rooms. It's clean and the breakfast was very nice. The location is good with plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The only complaint is the shower which failed to hold a constant temperature throughout the stay. It does not have a thermostatic controller, which usually is not an issue, but in this instance it would swing from dangerously hot to freezing cold, possibly due to other guests using their showers. A good shower is a basic requirement and I feel the hotel has let itself down here by not putting in a good working shower as part of the renovation and upgrade.

I stayed for 15 days. I loved the area, lots of options for food, shopping, groceries, ice cream, walking distance to all bus routes, underground, and international trains. A beautiful park nearby, and lots of activities in the square by the hotel entrance at weekends. Highly recommended.

Very cosy hôtel right in the pedestrian shopping area of Badgodesberg. Station 5 minutes away. Good breakfast and nice and friendly staff.

The hotel was clean and well-situated, and the beds were comfortable, but our daughter was sleeping on the floor. As we brought a camping mattress pad with us, that was no problem, but it turned out that when we asked for an extra blanket the management wanted to charge us for an extra bed. We were able to convince him that we only needed an extra blanket, but the manager we dealt with was curt and rude, which left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to friends.

This is a very decent hotel that is situated in a good location.

Returned to the Insel after a 30-year break to find it upgraded and modern. However, our double room was stifling; the only 'air conditioning' was a small fan which just pushed the hot air around. Also, the shower cubicle was the smallest ever.

Very good for business people attending Kolnmesse but not wanting to pay Cologne prices. About 35 minutes by train to the venue. Very polite staff and a good breakfast.

I have stayed here three times when visiting Bonn for work. The first time I stayed almost 3 weeks, the second time about 1 1/2 weeks and the third time almost 3 weeks. The rooms are clean, small and basic. The breakfast is nice but not elaborate and eating the same thing morning after morning does become a chore. There is a severe shortage of irons/ironing boards so make sure to request one when checking in although this is no guarantee that one will be made available immediately. The staff for the most part are nice but I did encounter one very rude guy at reception and one rude housekeeping staff member. The latter I never saw again after my first trip. The former was still there on my third and I came very close to losing my temper with him. The location is convenient and I prefer it to Bonn because of the variety of foods- there is Turkish/Kurdish/Arabic among others to choose from.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The town of Bad Godesberg is a little sleepy now that all of the embassy folk seem to have relocated to Berlin (assume this happened many years ago but I haven't been back here in a while) but this hotel is very nice for this area. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.
