Good stay

Did not sleep as room was so warm because air on did not work. We did report this and I was advised the hotel will come back to us today. Nothing so far.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share how uncomfortable our stay was. The room had no air conditioning, which in the middle of summer made it absolutely unbearable. We were sweating through the night and couldn’t get proper rest. To make things worse, the phones in the room didn’t even work, meaning we couldn’t contact staff directly in an urgent situation – a serious safety concern. When we finally did speak to someone, we weren’t offered a new room or proper resolution – just a tiny fan that did nothing but blow around hot air. For the price and reputation of this hotel, the lack of basic comfort and safety measures was shocking. It’s unacceptable not to have functioning AC or a working phone line, and the lack of care in resolving the issue was extremely disappointing. Would not recommend – especially during warmer months.

Amazing

This hotel is impressive on arrival in the lobby but the rooms are dark and dated. We had a twin room and the beds were ok but not great. Staff were friendly and helpful which made up for it. We wanted somewhere cheap and close to our event and it was just for one night. Work and stay just outside of London so not too fussed. Would have been disappointed if I was booked for a special weekend.

Our booking was for 5 days. We stayed in a total of 4 rooms during this time as the AC kept breaking (blowing air, but not cooling the room). They do have an AC limit of 19 degrees Celsius (thermostat locked). Interior of rooms are somewhat dated/worn, with some cleanliness issues. Not what I expected of a hotel claiming 5 star status. The staff was very kind and the best part of the stay.

I as looked after very well by the staff. They were friendly and polite. The hotel is situated in easy reach of a number of places and I was able to walk to St Paul's Cathedral in about ten minutes.

Great stay - staff friendly and professional - bedrooms decent size - would definitely stay again - good choice for breakfast !

Very good people. Great service. Unconvinient design and floor plan. The area is good for business, but not for tourists.

The hotel is beautiful with super friendly staff. The only issue we had during our stay was the heatwave the air conditioning failed and we were only offered a fan which unfortunately was not enough. Would have appreciated a room switch to have been offered other than this had a great experience and would use again.

We arrived during a hot spell in London & were so excited they had air conditioning!! By luck we were given The Club Room. It felt the size of an American hotel!! Very comfortable beds, great, friendly staff!! And very helpful getting cabs, hauling & loading luggage & good suggestions for food in the area. It sits in front of a gorgeous former brewery, now event space. Very pretty!! 15 min walk to nearest Hop on Hop Off bus. There’s an underground stop about 5 min walk. Believe there’s a restaurant on site. We never checked it out. Very cute cocktail/coffee bar just to the right of the desk in the lobby. Beautifully decorated. We’d stay here again!!

Air con was broke on hot night and was too late at night to really mess around trying to complain. Probably was broken when we got there but was in a rush to get out and about. Shower gel dispenser was broken. It was good that they looked after baggage before allowing us to get our room. Coffee machine broken but breakfast was ok

The air conditioning in my room didn’t work and the mattress was clearly quite old as it was dipped on one side and had no support. I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel as it’s generally quite tired but the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

Amazing place to stay, will definitely be coming back each time we need to stay in london. Amazing location, near to 3 underground stations. Beautiful place!

Rooms could do with being refurbished .

Nice hotel, central location and good service.

Would have been better, but aic-con was not working, room was very stuffy on the hottest day. And shower was pretty poor, water pressure was pretty bed and so too the controls. The property was convenient to our weekend stay.

Overall excellent, friendly staff in particular Corrine very helpful- thank you!
