Pictures of the hotel are not true, the real hotel is crossing the street and different of what they are offering.

Beautiful property just outside the castle grounds in Carcassonne with on-site parking. Very convenient with multiple restaurants across the street inside the castle.

Good bang for your buck and unbelievable location. Amenities are fine but not awesome - also no onsite laundry which is reported in Expedia as a perk

The hotel is a lovely setting and the main hotel appears to be excellent, resident cat that was the highlight of the stay and lovely dog, grounds are beautiful and lovely coffee. I would stay again with amendments; A few things holding the hotel back- rooms in a building a room over, clearly from hotels success but need work. No kettle/coffee or cups, but instead singular can of fancy water which was not replenished. Spa was a surcharge in 30 min blocks and not advertised as such and pool was closed but not advertised. It's not suitable for elder guests, as no lift and one elderly person in our ground fell down the stairs which are dark and not easy to see.

We had a lovely stay. The room is very efficient. The staff was the highlight as they were very helpful with holding our luggage when we arrived early and provided recommendations for restaurants.

Absolutely a dream location to access the medieval city. Literally steps from the Narbonne gate. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but our door lock was broken so locking the room was impossible. Luckily, the room had a second hidden door behind the floor to ceiling blood red curtains, so we could safely lock our stuff up while we explored. After a full day of exploring the medieval city, we came back to the room late at night to no heat or hot water - which was a super big let down. The staff did work to get it turned back on, and we had hot water by midnight, but were freezing. The restaurant was not open during our stay, so I can't speak to that. We didn't have time to find/use the pool. hot tub or spa. Wish we had more than one night to really enjoy the hotel's amenities. We loved the town and would recommend staying here.

Gem of a hotel, superb location, very helpful friendly staff. Attractive outdoor spaces. Rooms are compact but well designed. If I was staying longer than a few days would appreciate a kettle in the room. Otherwise couldn’t fault our stay

We just stayed one night and it was in a great location. It was right across from the medieval fortress. My room was very nice and clean. I had some trouble with the heat and patio door, but the receptionist attended to the matter immediately and solved the issue. We enjoyed the lounge area to meet with family and enjoyed cocktails and a snack. There didn’t seem like too many guests were in the hotel as we had the lounge to ourselves which was nice and almost private. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection for each of us all served at our table. The only disappointment was that my boiled egg was not cooked to my liking. I had asked for it to be well done and it was cooked soft. Other than that, everything was good. We didn’t use the facilities other than the lounge as we were only there for the night. It was a very pleasant experience to spend reuniting with family and would recommend this hotel if you want to see the medieval town. Great location!

The room appeared clean but had a strange odour. Unhelpful staff when we asked to upgrade / change room. Decor very tired. No kettle or fridge in the room. Lacking English speaking TV channels. But great location.

Hotel has spectacular views and is an easy walk to the Medieval Citadel and walled town where there are plenty of restaurant choices for dinner. I recommend you have breakfast at the hotel. It is great value and includes local yogurt, cheese, ham, a soft or hard boiled egg, a basket of bread and pastries, a basket of fresh fruit, fresh pressed apple juice and coffee or tea of your choice. The property shares the bar/breakfast space, pool and spa, with its luxury sister property.

Huge room with singles for the kids and air con that actually works. Set away from the main building but quiet and only a 5 minute walk up to the castle. Pool area is tranquil and the pool is lovely but gets deep quickly more aimed at adults rather than families. Breakfast is an add on and aims to be all natural and up market.
