A great hotel in Oslo. Walkable from city centre, maybe 15/20 minutes from Oslo S station. Great area with loads of bars/restaurants/shops and a nice park. Hotel was clean, modern, and staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was amazingly good. Only downside was poor Wi-Fi quality in hotel. Seems to be an issue in all Scandic hotels I stay in. Would have been 5 star review if Wi-Fi wasn’t so poor

We had such an amazing stay here. The breakfast is amazing, our room was very clean. It’s about a 20min walk to the centre. The only con is that the room could not be colder than 22 degrees Celsius - you should be able to adjust the temperature in your hotel room within a range. Our other scandic in Sweden allowed you to go to 18 degrees.

Great location for wandering the city. Would stay here again. Close to great coffee shops and restaurants.

The facility is immaculate. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was helpful and polite. Our dinner in the restaurant was welcomed after a very long day of travel.

Scandic is a great hotel chain and this one was no different. Friendly, multi lingual check-in. Free coffee. Even gave us a room a couple of hours early.

This was our second time staying at Scandic Vulkan. It is in the perfect location to explore the entire city. The staff are very friendly and breakfast is excellent!

Comfortable rooms. Quiet facility. Generally all around nice.

The only things missing were Tea / Coffee/ Kettle and maybe a mini fridge. Otherwise lovely helpful staff and very clean hotel.

Excellent hotel in great area

the area was quiet and everyone was so nice and helped me out when I needed it. I was there for about a week and I enjoyed it a lot. They have food options around which is at the bottom of the steps near the hotel that was nice. Everything was cleaned correctly when needed as well.

The hotel was as expected beside the fact that our room was facing the street where road repairs started at 11 pm. When reported to the front desk they apologized but refused to transfer to another room .

We had a good stay at the Vulkan although the room was looking a little “tired” round the edges. For a hotel that would be used by a lot of tourists, they had a strangely early breakfast time during the week - finishing at 0930! Location is excellent however with easy walking distance to Grunerlokka for great bars/restaurants and even into Oslo city centre along the Akerselva river.
