This Hostal is well located. In the middle of Madrid. Rooms are small, but there are nice one. Most of the places are in walking distance. This place is more for friends, Couples or byselfs, not for big families.

my stay was a quick one night however for the price it is a pretty good option, very central location close to metro, be careful - some rooms do not have windows!

Not all rooms but our room was small. But rooms was clean and cheap. Location is very good because it is close to the Puerta Del Sol square which is the city center (approximatelly 5 minutes by walking). Totally, I recommend this hotel.

The hostal was everything I was looking for---good price, great location, clean room, helpful staff. The airport transfer that they arranged for me so I wouldn't have to hassle with my 3 bags on the subway during rush hour was prompt and reasonably priced.

The hotel was easy to find and very accessible to and from the subway from the airport. Jose is a gem and very friendly, courteous, helpful, and above and beyond the usual hotel clerk. The hostal is on a quiet street that is just off the Gran Via and about 2 blocks from Puerta del Sol. There is no food option with the hostal, but many restaurants, including a very good vegetarian one, are within a few minutes of the hostal.

The hostal is very well located. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Our room was a bit on the small side for a double but really good. Would stay again.

Everything was fine but my small room DIDN'T have a window and lounge area also was windowless ! So strange !Both receptionist Josef and David are really helpfull and professional. I spent 2 nights in November 2012 and however is dark very quick, I felt quit safe in this hotel and in surrounding area.

The location was great (right off Gran Via). Beds were singles next to one another. If you don't plan on spending much time in your room its good value for money.

Rooms are tiny but very clean. Location is fantastic. We had a scarey medical situation and as none of the staff spoke English this made things very difficult. Apart from that the staff are very nice and the hotel clean and centrally located

Madrid is such a great city that all I would want from a hotel room (especially in the summer months) is a place to lay my head. Hostal Regio is perfectly positioned (on third floor of the building which is signed Hostal Mendoza) steps from Gran Via. Our room (301) was pretty small with space for 2 beds a desk and chair and little else, the bathroom was sufficient, but great value for money and perfect for our needs. Free wifi also included which was useful. If you're looking for value for money and a room for a night, this place fits the bill.

Excellent. Perfect location: walk to historic area and Metro. New and clean. Even though it is hostal, you have your own bath and toilet. You should leave room key when you leave. You can come back any time. They change sheets and towels. Bring your own shampoo and soap. TV with remote. small balcony. They set temperature and they ask you not to change the setting. If you open the balcony door, it is noisy outside until 1 am.

The hotel was easy to find and is close to most of the places one would visit in a trip to Madrid. It is a bit odd in that it occupies the third floor of a large building with another hotel two floors below. Staff were helpful and our stay was a good one. The room was basic but for the price it was good. I think I would stay here again on a future visit.

El hotel se encuentra en buena zona y el personal es muy amable, sin embargo el cuarto me pareció muy sucio, me tuve que dormir encima de las cobijas ya que al abrir la cama no había sábanas y las almohadas estaban amarillas del uso, lo cual fue bastante desagradable. El baño era lo único limpio y renovado de la habiatacion . Anteriormente me he quedado en otros hostales en la zona por el mismo precio y mucha mejor calidad en su limpieza .
