Room was very small. Bugs were roaming around all over the area, specially in the bathroom. No TV in the room in a 4 star hotel. Service staff members were very helpful

Extremely poor rooms sold at insane prices. This place markets itself as an “eco-lodge experience”, but what you actually get are very basic, poorly maintained rooms that in no way justify the cost. The rooms are small, outdated and uncomfortable, with low-quality furnishings and a general feeling of neglect. Cleanliness and comfort are far below what you would expect, especially considering the ridiculously high price being charged. There is absolutely no value for money here. The jungle setting alone does not excuse the lack of quality, nor does it justify charging luxury-level prices for what feels closer to a budget accommodation. Overall, a mass-tourism trap aimed at visitors who don’t realize how much better you can get for the same price elsewhere in the Amazon. Strongly not recommended. Money wasted.

The lodge is situated beautifully along the river, and the staff are generally helpful; however, if you don’t speak the local Portuguese dialect, communication becomes pretty difficult. The meals were filling, though often a bit overcooked. On our very first day, during an included excursion with lunch on a barge, my wife and I ordered a 48oz bottle of Amsterdam beer. The bottle arrived already opened, placed inside a plastic insulated container, with two small 6oz glasses. After pouring just one round each, we noticed the bottle was nearly empty. I don’t mind sharing with staff, but the way this happened — especially at the start of the trip — left me feeling suspicious for the rest of our stay, including back at the lodge. Was this a bottle partly finished by another party, or did the staff drink half the bottle before being brought to the table? Another thing I didn’t love was having to sign a three-part carbon Portuguese receipt, that I could not read, after every drink order, without being allowed to keep a copy. I’m hoping the number of drinks on my bill truly reflects what we ordered during our stay. The resort itself is rustic, with the basic amenities we expected: hot running water, electricity, and AC. However, there are noticeable gaps in the floorboards and openings to the outside. On our first night, I found a small scorpion in the shower and a large frog clinging to the shower door. On the second night, we kept the lights on, and the only visitors were a bigger millipede near the bed and the same scorpion that seems to live in the shower. The room doors don’t latch properly either — the only way to keep them closed is by leaving the key in the lock and engaging the deadbolt from inside or outside. All that said, we genuinely enjoyed the jungle walks with our guide, Moses. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the region and its fragile ecosystem, and those excursions were definitely a highlight of our stay.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful and the trips organised were very enjoyable, but the accommodation is basic and I'm sorry to say we did not enjoy the food at all, and I got food poisoning on our last day - this is difficult as there isn't anywhere else to go and eat. Generally if the place had some TLC and better food it would be much better. Our travel agent rated it as 2 star plus.

I had a wonderful time and stay here. The value was excellent (much better than another one I looked at); it includes multiple tours. I recommend you stay at least three days.. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The complex was also very clean and maintained consistently. I always saw maintenance crew working on things. The food and drinks were very good. Just remember, you can order more than one side ha ha. I didn’t realize that until the last night. Did you have to pay extra for alcohol but Water is always available. At breakfast, you can have made to order eggs or omelettes. also try the tapioca crepe especially if you’re gluten-free. Because you take tours with people who are also staying at the lodge, you’ll make friends quickly and find yourself sharing meals together – even connecting on social media after the trip! The owner also established a monkey sanctuary so you can see a bunch of monkeys and you can even feed a couple and create a cool video or photo. It’s in a nice location without busy boat traffic tucked away in a lagoon area where you can swim or you can swim in their natural (Amazon Water) pools and waterfall. Overall, I just had a wonderful time.
