Great pub set in a lovely little village. Our room for 3 nights in June was spacious, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and had an amazing en-suite. Everything was very clean. Everything we needed had been thought about - a kettle and supplies, small fridge with welcome bottles of water and daily jug of milk. There was a hairdryer, a fan and toiletries were provided. The food was delicious, we had 3 breakfasts and an evening meal. The amazing staff are a friendly and approachable team who really want your stay to be fantastic and in our opinion worked very hard during our stay. We would happily return for a few days longer next time.

This is lovely rural pub, about a mile away from Chillingham Castle. The room and bathroom were lovely but very hot during this current heatwave, despite the fan. There was a fridge in the room which helped keep drinks cool and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The food from the menu (evening meal) was lovely and service excellent as was the breakfast The staff were welcoming and very friendly and helpful, and the beer wasn't bad either.

Staying in the village of Chatton, a 4 minute walk to the Percy Arms, anticipating a good Sunday lunch, a few pints of Guinness and a walk back to the house for a lazy Sunday afternoon, sounds good? How wrong you can be! No one to greet you upon arrival, several girls chatting away behind the bar, one of them looked to be texted someone, cough loud to get noticed! Having booked a table earlier in the week, we got a table tucked away in a corner, which was ok I guess for a quiet private lunch! Service is rustic at best, the young girls tried, but some training and guidance wouldn’t go amiss! Both ordered the roast beef with mash! (Who serves mash with roast beef?) one carrot, three bits of cauliflower between the two of us, eighteen peas and a small amount of cabbage (chopped) shared between us, along with three roast potatoes and one Yorkshire pudding that looked and tasted awful, in fact it could have been microwaved twice before arriving on our plates! Two slices of beef that was undercooked and simply just tough! Deserts are limited, one sticky toffee pudding, goodish, but not memorable and one eton mess that frankly was just passable. All in all, a struggle to rate it anymore than a poor 3 stars.

A really lovely village pub, the welcome from the staff was heartfelt and we felt immediately at home. The room was clean and we had all the facilities we needed for our 1 night stay. The food in the bar was very nice and good value. Highly recommended.

Quiet location and lovely place where we stopped off for impromptu meal when driving through area. Quiet Friday lunchtime-lovely atmosphere, relaxing music and lady was lovely who served us. Highly recommend. Dog friendly in bar area with water bowl provided. Best Guinness that hubby said had in ages. Must have travelled well.
