I recently stayed at the Glengarriff Park Hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of this charming, family-run establishment. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel prides itself on offering not just comfort, but a heartfelt experience. Nestled right in the heart of Glengarriff, the hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of all the local attractions. Whether you’re heading to the stunning Blue Pool, exploring the Bamboo Park, or catching the ferry to Garnish Island. Everything is just a short stroll away, making it an ideal base for discovering the beauty of West Cork. The in-house restaurant and bar are a real highlight. The food was consistently excellent, with a menu that balances hearty Irish classics and more refined options. The bar has a warm, welcoming vibe, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Their kindness and dedication are second to none. When I asked about shoe polishing available, they discovered it wasn’t available locally and then drove to the next town to get it for me. That level of care and attention is rare and speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and genuine Irish hospitality, the Glengarriff Park Hotel is a standout choice. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone heading to this magical corner of Ireland.

A really lovely hotel in a magnificent village. Very friendly and professional staff . Nice large well presented room . Great continental breakfast included free, great selection. The area is astounding. We took a boat trip to Garnish Island,15 mins . Basking seals on the way and a truly beautiful island that had been gifted to the nation by a man who created a remarkable paradise.Glengarriff goes straight to number one in my favourite places .

The hotel is well located in the centre of Glengarriff, with ample parking at the rear. Good access to the walk to the water’s edge. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a simple Continental buffet, with good coffee. The hotel had apparently been non-operational for a while and they are still gearing up. The restaurant was not functions apart from breakfast. We suggested that additional lighting is needed in the room. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Next time that decorating is done, it might be a good idea to lighten the colour schemes, which are rather dark. A useful stopping off point.

We had booked a double bed room. Initially I saw she had a certain room number written down but after feeling a bit judged for my husband's tattoos, our room was changed. It has two twin beds pushed together and two more separate twin beds in the room. The bath stopper didn't fit. The shampoo and body wash were reusable and one had a long piece of hair on it. The bathroom had rust and mold on places. The bed was so hard I couldn't sleep. It was like right on a box spring. You had to put a room key card in a slot in the room to get electricity for the room. Just not a good experience.

Chris, below is the review I I stayed in Glengarriff Park Hotel in June 2022 with a friend, Chris. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and efficient. The hotel is a lovely building, but it's the staff who are the star of the show. Thanks again everyone. The hotel is a wonderful base from which to see the whole West Cork and South Kerry area. We went as far afield as Derrynane, Mizen Head Lighthouse, Kenmare, Bantry, Schull, Castletownbere etc. And we also visited the enchanting Garinish Island right on the hotel's doorstep.

Everything looks brand new and clean. The service is very friendly and the ladies that work there all wanted to know how our trip was going, where we were from, what we planned to do.

Lovely big room and large bathroom, beautiful modern condition. The on-site restaurant was the best dining option in town too. A busy weekend, but staff were still present and attentive. Lovely location so you can park the car and walk everywhere.
