Everything was good including hot spring bath. But the breakfast was buffet style under Corona. I was still worried about Corona so I didn’t take breakfast.

Highlights were the public bath and the delicious breakfast. Beds were a bit firm for our liking but that seems to be common with mattress beds in Japan. Staff was courteous. Overall, a good stay!

Wajima is a small quiet town so not a lot to do. But I enjoyed the morning market and the lacquer museum. The old section of town is nearby, and the harbour and bus terminal are at the back of the hotel. Interesting to walk around. I booked a twin room so I could have a water view. Breakfast was fine.

We were delighted with this hotel! So close to the morning market and the Kiriko museum. Peaceful and quiet. We did have a view of the ocean, but the window could have been a wee bit better. I guess the wire in the glass is for storm prevention? The window was pretty small and the wire impeded the view, but that's not a big thing. I loved the public bath in the hotel. I didn't know that was there, but was so happy. I could have stayed here for a longer period of time and been quite content!

Asked for no feathers & this is the only hotel we stayed in Japan that made that happen. Obviously they made an extra effort on our behalf. Hotel was easy to find & had ample parking. We ate in the hotel as the neighborhood seemed shut down for low-season.

We had a very nice stay for two nights at the Route Inn. The hotel is located right on the port, and seaside rooms offer a great view of the ocean. It is also just around the corner from the Asaichi (morning market) and main street for Wajima lacquerware. The hotel facilities were generally typical for the Route Inn chain. However, the restaurant was better than usual for dinner, and the included breakfast was about normal for the chain. There are only a few Western items included on the breakfast buffet, but enough if you can't handle a Japanese-style breakfast. As for the room, it was somewhat larger than many Japanese "business" hotels, featuring twin beads, a small table and two chairs, and a desk and TV. The bathroom is typically very tight, but usable unless you are staying for an extended period. The carpet in the room could have used a good shampooing, but otherwise the room was in good condition. The natural hot springs bath on the 1st floor was a pleasant surprise. The hotel appears to be set up to handle English, and although we didn't need to use English, it appeared that at least one of the front desk staff spoke English. We would also like to thank the hotel manager for being incredibly helpful with our travel plans . We would readily select the Route Inn Wajima again on our next stay.

The hotel is clean and comfortable for our family of 4 (adults). Service at the counter was good and speedy. The facilities in the hotel are sufficient to give all of us a relaxing and comfortable stay after a day of visiting (driving). Definitely a good choice if you come to Wajima.
