We had a family room with 5 beds. Simple but clean and the breakfast was excellent. Only 10 min drive to see puffins. Lots of amazing hiking nearby.

Off the beaten path. A family owned and run hotel. The best dinner we had during our entire trip to Iceland. Home-cooked meal served buffet style. It was delicious.

Basic hotel lodging if staying in town to visit the puffin colony which is about a 10 minute drive away. Convenient location. Most rooms look like the wood panel rooms in the photos. They have a family room for four with bunk beds and a queen bed. Breakfast was decent as well.

Convenient location, fantastic views, solid rooms. Great breakfast. Could hear people in other rooms a bit. The only real snag was parking ran out late at night.

My room was clean. The check in staff was super friendly. The only issue I had was that my room did not resemble what I saw in the pictures. I’ve now stayed in 7 out of my 8 places and most were so comfy and cozy. This room was all tile (similar to restaurant kitchen tile). It made the room “cold.” All bare walls except for a mirror. No pictures, no color, no hook for a towel, no cup, no anything except for a hair dryer. For me, this trip is about experiences and moments. There were no personal touches at all to qualify as a hotel which is supposed to be an extension of “home.” If you have a group and are just packing people in, this is your place. The long hallway is tile so you will hear everything and everyone. Again, clean and friendly—just not for me.

If you want an old school hotel and hospitality experience, look no further. The rooms are basic but quite large, and immaculately clean. The bathroom is a decent size as well with enough room in the shower and sink to comfortably bathe and wash. The hotel was very quiet, and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. The breakfast buffet included cooked eggs, bread, pastries, cereal, pancakes, etc. It was a great start to our day. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location for puffin viewing in nesting season! Very helpful, friendly staff. Personal service. Fresh, healthy food choices. Clean, comfortable rooms. Located in an interesting small community. We are grateful that the owners were able to help us out when our booking at another hotel fell through due to a booking error.

Had room 29 which was at the end of the hallway and next to the equipment room I guess. Anyway. There was a motor running all night long and I didn’t get much sleep. Staff was friendly. Room clean. Nice breakfast. Just be aware of what room you’re assigned

The nicest host. Genuinely made the whole entire experience farrr worth it. If it weren’t for the host, we would’ve missed the puffins all together.
