The hotel is in a good location ,all the main sites if interest are easily walkable.the breakfast @ 11 euros was ok .the staff in all roles were excellent ( with the exception of the bar staff .also the bar lacks atmosphere ,and the furnishings are rather worn out .......this was the only negative with the hotel ,ovrerall we had a very good stay )a taxi from the train station 8 to 10 euros

I travel a lot, but this was my first time in Salamanca and wasn't sure about lodging. Gran Hotel Corona Sol has a great location, affordable rooms, and an overall nice vibe.

Very very nice had a large group and the check in and service was wonderful and very efficient. The breakfast was delicious and very good and dinner also

Firstly, the directions to he property on eBookers took us to the back door which was no help. Once we discovered the front door it was a nice one night stay. Room was fine and the staff on reception helpful if not exactly smiling. Fairly near the centre to be able to walk to all the main sights.

Very friendly Staff, great location walking into Salamanca Centre, undergound safe parking, A bit difficult to find as the front of the hotel is in a side street.

It was the 3rd time we have used this hotel. Its very comfortable,and afgordable. Not far from the centre of Salamanca. We managed to get free parking across the road from the hotel. As it was raining, we had a 3 course meal at the hotel restaurant. It was very good and at the right price. We will definitely stayagain if in Salamanca.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is next to Mercadona, a supermarket with ready-to-go meals available. It is also exactly next to a bus stop and the Plaza Mayor is only a 10 minutes walk away.

Hotel is very old and uncomfortable. Service is amicable but very slow. You have to leave a deposit for the iron !!

Spacious room, hot English breakfast buffet, value for money. Next to a big supermarket. Room with a mini fridge.

Between 4am-6.30am, the fire alarm went off 4 times for no reason, so our sleep was disturbed. Not only that, the water in our bathroom sink, toilet & shower then turned brown. In the morning, as we were so tired, we couldn't get to breakfast in time. Yet the hotel provided us with no apology, no explanation, no late check out, no late breakfast and no monetary compensation. Although the water was running clear in the morning, they couldn't say where the dirty water had come from, so we had to ask for bottled water to clean our teeth and wash our faces with. Simply awful!

The hotel and location is fantastic the lady on reception when we arrived obviously hated her job she just told us the price of the parking and handed over the room key we had to ring reception for the wifi code she was terrible

Great hotel, 3rd stay during a drive to Portugal. The Old Town is easily walkable in 5mins and hotel has super underground carpark easily accessible in our 4x4, no problem with access or space size. Lovely light & sizeable rooms with fabulous powerful shower. Had breakfast for a few euro in a cafe just down the street. Old Town & plaza are lovely for Tapas and drinks.

Great hotel, 5 min walk to the sights and restaurants/bars. Fab underground parking (€12) and peaceful hotel location for sleeping
