We had 2 weeks in the hotel and it was excellent! Terrific staff that went above and beyond. Location on the beach, hotel amenities and food were all fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking RIU Tikida Dunas. My stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. On arrival, the room was not ready and I was initially given the wrong bed. Basic amenities were lacking throughout the stay. I requested an iron from the first day and despite repeated follow-ups, including visiting reception multiple times and receiving a message via the hotel app, I never received one at any point. The most concerning issue was hygiene. There were consistently dirty plates and cups in the dining areas, and I even found ants in cups. Food handling practices were poor on one occasion staff handled pork and then attempted to prepare my food without changing gloves. When challenged, this was not handled appropriately. There was also no clear labelling of food and very limited halal options, which meant I had to purchase food externally despite being on an all-inclusive package. Facilities were not functioning as expected, including drinks machines, and basic toiletries were not provided beyond soap and shampoo, as confirmed by staff in writing. Staff were often unhelpful, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with, with little effort made to assist English-speaking guests. Overall, this experience fell far below expected standards. The combination of poor hygiene, lack of basic services, and inadequate handling of complaints makes this a place I would not recommend.

We would not return to this hotel. After arriving on Saturday, I began vomiting on Tuesday and my partner on Wednesday. We talked with other guests that were also sick after eating at the hotel restaurants. Having now searched for instances of food poisoning at this hotel, we can see this wasn’t an uncommon experience. Most of the buffet food is bland and some of it horrible, tasting genuinely off or unpleasant. The food is poorly labelled, with dishes under the wrong stickers or stickers missing. As a vegetarian, there aren’t many options - when I chose a cheese salad, it turned out to have some kind of squid in it. After asking a waiter, who asked a chef, they directed me to another salad, which had pieces of chicken in it. Some of the staff are lovely and friendly, but others are very grumpy and make you feel like you are an inconvenience. Our room was cleaned well but the rooms are dated and in need of renovation - there is mould in the bathrooms and a slight smell of damp. The private beach is a small area combed back from a stony beach with lots of plastic and (friendly but slightly concerning) stray dogs. The grounds of the resort itself are beautiful and the pools are lovely to swim and lounge by.

Class food, great pool and friendly staff.

The resort is very good, true to their (4*), friendly staff, excellent buffets style meals (only, even on their themed restaurants), basic variety of local alcohol drinks and surprisingly good wine for an all inclusive. Large rooms (must take oceanview), clean and well maintained. The site itself is very well maintained especially the grounds and pools. As for the entertainment, that’s another story,,, I would say, fair at best. The animators are all kind and very young, almost a high school variety show… and yet we watched them all, well most of the shows, a few walkouts,,, they only last 30 minutes, so… judge for yourself!!!

Stayed for 5 nights , the longest check in / waiting for our room for 3 hours .. staff not listening to our requests although we emailed before . Reception staff were very friendly but that it where it ends ,can’t say the same about bar staff and some of restaurant staff . The property gardens are beautiful and immaculate this is why we chose this hotel for the garden and swimming pools , the pools are very cold in October which we did not expect , the ocean was warmer though and so clean ! The food is ok very repetitive and not that many options comparing to other all inclusive hotels but we enjoyed it . I have emailed before twice to say it was a special anniversary and I thought at least they could put a message in the room or some cake but totally ignored which was disappointing… I think this is the conclusion : beautiful grounds but no attention to detail , we will not return

We arrived before check in but we're allowed to have lunch and use the rest of their facilities until then. The room was lovely. Great sea view and of the pools from our balcony. The bathroom was ok. It looked like they had two attempts to fit the shower riser. The shower hose was like a chrome coloured rubber and it never quite pointed to where you wanted. Beds were made and fresh towels daily and always very clean. The animation team were all very friendly and enthusiastic. However,.the evening entertainment was a bit samey. There was a wide variety of food, all very tasty. Enough to cater for me, a meat eater and my wife, a (more or less vegan.....she likes eggs). The beach was very clean and great for enjoying waves. Not much else near by but the taxi's are cheap and you can barter them down a little to get elsewhere. We had a late flight but as with check in we were able to continue to use the facilities until we left for the airport. Thanks for a lovely stay

Food very bland and trays empty, rooms had cockroaches and ants, some staff very poor won’t even smile, will never want to stay here again and would t recommend to anyone

The room was nice as we had a sea view. Was very quiet. Good choice of food. Entertainment needs improving
