The hotel is in a lovely setting, the reception staff were very pleasant . The rooms were clean. Unfortunately the condition of the room and hotel was a different matter. It looks like it could do with a complete upgrade as it seemed tatty and in communal areas to be really run down. If money was spent in the right way because of its setting could be a wonderful hotel. Cannot comment on the restaurant as we did not eat in it.

If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is!

The hotel is a little dated now and would benefit form a refurbishment. Our room was clean but the air con was totally inadequate for the temperatures outside. I doubt it got below 25 in the bedtoom all night. The hotel has a nice pool inside and out, however its open to the public also and guests do have to pay (€34.30 for 2 adults and a child) which was.a bit much.

we were expecting the spa to be open after a day travelling. it was closed. I booked the hotel on purpose because of the spa. had no idea it was closed.

The pool and the gym were both closed for renovations I was not informed of that

This hotel is NOT family friendly. This is a spa hotel in which people look at you (and your kids) as if you were doing something completely wrong. Most people are there to relax and your kids will be a burden.

This hotel needs a serious makeover. It's very tatty and not worth the money. Cleaning left a lot to be desired. Remote control covered in dust. Splashes on the toilet door and walls. The only positive was the evening meal was excellent

Great hotel for business trips, shame the restaurant options were limited due to Covid restrictions.

I went to St. Paul les Dax to visit family. Overall the hotel looked pretty rough. The outside is very rundown and hallways looked out of a 1980s horror film. The rooms were just okay, but better than the outside. I had to work while I was there, thankfully the wifi was very strong. The restaurant was surprisingly great and the service was really good. The inside looks a bit like a hospital cafeteria, but the outside terrace was nice.

So Glad you guys were open. Coronavirus closing most places.. Yike no access to food - However totally understand given the extreme circumstances. Check in staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Perhaps it would have been handy to have some food/ drink ideas /options for guests to help themselves to in the evening. Luckily we had some bread and cheese in the car.

Excellent service

This was a nice place to sleep while traveling from Paris to Portugal/Spain. Not affordable for the "job," but I could have spent a good day at the hotel/spa, if I had the time...

Quiet, comfortable, best sleep, good restaurant nearby.!

Excellent hotel, very spacious and clean rooms - great for families. Lake outside is beautiful for walking or running around:)

From the pictures and knowing it was a Best Western Hotel We expected a lot more of the Hotel and the Spa (We travel a lot in Europe and have been in a lot of other Hotels and spa's in Turkey, Croatia, Greece,Spain, Portugal, Germany, Ireland,etc.). The Staff was Great !!! And the restaurant had some good food. But the rooms were small and cramped and a little dated for the price we paid. Which by any standard is high for what We received. And then after we checked in we found out you had to pay to use the swimming pool. Extra fees like the pool should be listed on the hotel profile. Overall We would not ever go back. There are too many other better places.
