Arrived approximately 2:50 pm Monday, February 16, 2026. Doormen pleasantly greeted us upon arrival, assisted with luggage and directed us to reception area. Numerous guests sitting, waiting, several employees seemingly feigning activity, not attending to anyone, nor acknowledging our presence. Awkwardly stood in middle of the small reception area waiting for direction. Eventually, I politely asked if we needed to wait to check in and received no other response than "Passport please". Check in was methodical, without pleasantries. Another guest was trying to interrupt our receptionist as she was concerned her passport had not been returned to her. Our receptionist spoke to her with less courtesy than I would have expected that she did not have her passport and it was another colleague who had taken it from her. Room condition was extremely disappointing. "Filthy" is not an exaggeration, stains on carpet, couch, bedding (hair on pillow), poor condition, dated, in need of a refurbishment or a deep, deep clean. If this hotel had a "heyday", it must have been long ago. Breakfast room service was timely and good value. Dinner was expensive and poor quality, although service was extremely attentive and personable (great personal conversation). Interactions with doormen were always pleasant and personable when exiting and entering the hotel. Check out was smooth and pleasant. Overall, stay was terribly disappointing due to condition of the hotel and lack of value for money.

everything went well till we find live cockroaches under our bed, also were running around over my kids.. when I called the receptionist, they had no sense of urgency. My kids were so very scared. we packed up super early and left the hotel. definitely not the best experience

We had the worst experience at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche booked via Expedia. This stay represented the final days of my honeymoon, and the experience was profoundly disappointing and distressing. Below is a full account of what occurred: 1. Upon Arrival – No Assistance With Luggage When my husband and I arrived for the final portion of our honeymoon, no staff helped us with our bags. For a hotel that claims 5-star status, this was an alarming first impression. 2. Room Condition – Stained Carpets, Furniture, and Sheets The “premier room” we were assigned was in unacceptable condition: The carpets and couch were visibly stained and dirty. The bed sheets also had stains and were missing the proper top sheet. Even after requesting fresh linens, we were never provided with a full proper set. 3. Housekeeping – Significant Neglect Throughout our 3-night stay, housekeeping did not properly clean the room. They merely made the bed and ignored other basic tasks: Dirty spoons remained in the room for three days. Also the room smelled horrible it was very poorly ventilated. We ran out of toilet paper—further evidence the room was not being checked or replenished. Used towels were folded and put back instead of replaced. I had to call the front desk three times just to receive clean towels, which is astonishing for any hotel, let alone a Sofitel. 4. Sofitel, price in comparison to the UK and UAE Room was very dirty, carpets, sofa were stained and very old. Room smelt damp and dirty. Room service was very prompt, but they literally gave you what you asked for. Change tea cups, they sent 1, asked for teaspoons, they sent 1, asked for slippers, sent 1. Bathrooms were so old. Ceiling near entrance door to the room crumbled every time you opened the doors. The hotel supposedly is going through a renovation! I didn’t see this. I was glad to return home

The staff was super nice . The room spacious and very clean . A sunrise view that was breathtaking . We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant : fantastic ! The room design is a little strange and as big as the room is , the space is not well used .

I had a most terrible experience at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche. The room they gave me smelled like mold. It did not have the soap, shampoo, thats normally in the shower. The shower wasnt also working well. The room was very dark with the changing area not at all lit. The coffee maker and the cups were dirty and I was given only 1 coffee pod. Then when I checked out of my room, I asked someone to help me with my bags. And asked Reception to get me a taxi to go to my next destination. They got me a taxi but did not put my bags in it. I only found out my bags werent in the taxi when i got to my destination! After, I called them to ask where my bags were! They said they will send a shuttle to meet me and give me my bags. Apparently, they hired another taxi to do the job! And then the driver asked me to pay him! Again! So I had to pay for taxi service twice!! Because of this, i was late to go to Marrakesh. The experience left me speechless!

I had high hopes for the Sofitel brand, but my recent stay was nothing short of unpleasant. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was greeted by a suffocating musty odor—an overpowering smell of mildew that lingered and made the space feel damp and uninviting. The room itself was far from clean. There were gnats and moths flying around, creating an unsettling atmosphere. I found dirty hair not only on the floor but also left in the shower, clearly untouched by housekeeping. The beds were deeply uncomfortable and did little to offer rest after a long day of travel. It’s genuinely shocking to encounter such poor standards from a hotel known for luxury. A thorough overhaul of cleanliness, maintenance, and air quality is long overdue. Until then, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
