Great value for money, town is walkable but it is a bit out of the center. The noise from outside comes straight in , fortunately it is a quiet area. Over all a decent price lace to stay

Just had 3 days away to Chester and stayed here. The receptionist Anna was very welcoming helping and informative. The hotel is cosy and slightly old school but charming. Our bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable with extra pillows in the wardrobe. Tea and coffee were provided which was welcome after our long journey. Onsite parking was a bonus and the hotel is about a 15min walk to the town centre. Breakfast and evening meal is available to order if preferred but we only ate breakfast on our last day before setting off for the journey home and it was very nice. All in all I'd recommended the Brookside hotel for your visit to Chester. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure guests were comfortable. Thank you Anna & Angela for a pleasant stay.

Basic but clean hotel, nice staff & an easy 15min walk into town. Good 3 star hotel for one night. Not comfortable enough for more I didn’t think. One hard pillow, small towels, unpredictable shower temperature, broken TV remote . Coffee & Tea in room, easy parking & quiet.

The property is an old building in desperate for modernising and freshening up. The carpets are extremely aged and dirty, the shower was basically trickling, not running of cold water and therefore ended up having to have a dry wash from the toilet sink

On arrival they tried to charge me the full amount when I had already paid half as a deposit. Not a great start. Room was very small and a little tired but clean. Bathroom very clean. Bed was comfy but pillows were thin and very firm. Not a great night’s sleep thanks to whining of an extractor fan somewhere in the hotel that went on all night and very thin curtains which meant an early wake up. Great location though.

Breakfast was ok, staff really good friendly and helpful but the property leaves a lot to be desired. Very dated and in real need of modernisation. We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway. Room was at best ok. The bed was pretty wobbly. Ceiling in the room was a false ceiling of tiles like you would find in an office and there have clearly been several leaks coming through from the floor above judging by the stains on show. Flooring was not the greatest in the bathroom area, a broken floorboard under the lino not been fixed causes you to almost fall over when you are not expecting the floor to give way on you. Electric shower and the water pressure was quite weak. We won't be returning.

The room was excellent, lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and were happy to help. Breakfast was lovely. There isn't a huge amount of parking so this could be a problem if the hotel is busy.

Traditional British style smaller hotel, not too far from town. Parking was a little bit tight. Room was quite small but comfortable. Pretty good.
