Great for the value!

Self check-in but they did not give a room number so was a bit lost when we arrived. 'Make Up The Room' meant change the towels and nothing else. Entrance untidy and dingy but the room was okay.

The property is superbly located to explore the old town. The main square is 10 mins walk along the route are restaurants and gift shops along with a few interesting bars. The hotel is within an old building which should not be mistaken as charm. The room I had was located on the top floor without the benefit of a lift in fact it best described as an attic room very small and as it was located in the roof area it was hot with only a tiny un curtained window which didn’t open to provide air which in the summer would be unbearable. A small token fan was provided which was inadequate. On the plus side the shower was excellent bathroom was just fine. The room was small with the smallest gap between the bed and chest of drawers the room came with fried and safe. The Wi-Fi just didn’t work no matter what you did. The reception was manned during the day and we were able to leave bags for safe keeping after check out which was at 12:00 which was helpful. In summery not dreadful but not the most luxurious either.

The rooms are old in need of updating. The location is great and staff are very helpful

Constant construction noise

Stay in triple room for 5 nights. Very convenient location in old town. Accessible to attraction places and good restaurants. Enjoy the christmas market nearby. Walking distance (20 min) to ferry terminal D for cruise to Helsinki. Same buffet breakfast served throughtout our stay.

We realised that the room we booked had no window which obviously has it’s drawbacks. However the room was clean an up to standard for a hotel in this price bracket. The staff were helpful and the breakfast sufficient for most tastes. Would stay again at this hotel in this beautiful city.

It looked very charming, but I wanted a double bed and not two separate single beds in my room, which was very annoying! There was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. The window was troublesome because when you open it, anybody in the terrace can peer inside and if you're hot, you need to open it and sacrifice privacy for this. Other than that, it was quite a pleasant stay, a fridge was included for our personal use, the free breakfast was clearly laid out and met our expectations. The staff were helpful and spoke good English and Russian, and allowed us to keep our luggage for a few hours after we checked out, which was very much appreciated! I would return if we got a larger room, more privacy and a double bed.

Good overall with perfect location. Breakfast was not so good. Quite a lot of noise and smoke smell got in through a window that we needed to keep open cus of the heat. Aircon would have been nice.

The room was very comfortable. This is a lovely old hotel which has kept many original features but has updated the comfort aspect to a high specification. The bedroom was large, comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was substantial.

Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff 10+

The hotel is full of character and is in a very old building. Everything was absolutely fine especially as I was a solo female traveller.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Very affordable, the rooms are great, the front desk staff delightful. I would definitely stay here again. I was worried reading some of the negative comments, but I was pleased to find out that I made a good decision to stay here. There are no elevators. So, request a lower room if you have heavy bags. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Convenient location within the old city. Super fun!

I had booked the property for an Estonian “Friend” who for some reason did not turn up : I called in twice but NO SHOW :I have stayed there & i was in the Olevi Residents And was happy , I have tried to contact the person but no reply Henry Hughes

Staff were not friendly, people at the front desk were rude or standoffish. Breakfast was very bland without many options

Hotel situated in a lovely quiet area just a short walk to the main square. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. A very pleasant experience even in the depths of winter.

Authentic hotel in old town, something that is nice to experience! The room was small, we did not have a closet in it and it was a little uncomfortable that 4 days we constantly opened and closed the suitcases. And the toilet (the bathing area) was really small, too. If you are not looking for comfort, everything else was very nice. The breakfast was always the same, and the menu was not very rich ... Anyway, I warmly recommend this hotel, because it deviates in a positive sense.
