It was a pleasant stay, clean and comfy bed. I do think though for this standard of room and property, £130 per night was quite steep. Really surprised to see that we then had to pay an extra £10pp if you wanted a cooked breakfast. The continual that comes with the room price was very limited. Will I be back, very much doubt it.

Staff were excellent. If you enjoy a good, well kept pint go somewhere else. Hard to get a good nights sleep when the road noise is akin to camping on a motorway. Meal was average at best. Room clean. Parking ok.

Really helpful staff, clean and well presented rooms and ample free parking. Rooms very reasonably priced and the hotel is very dog friendly. Just note that the hotel is situated on a very busy road and due to being a listed building there is a limit as to what the owners can do to soundproof the windows, therefore rooms on the front can be quite noisy.

One night stop over whilst visiting relative. Really clean and comfy room. Super friendly staff in this wonderful bar restaurant. We opted for the additional fee cooked breakfast on top of the continental breakfast provided. Large free car park too. Would happily stay again if in this area.

Over priced and under delivered. Staff were nice tbf, room was £130 + £15 for our dog well over priced for location and quality, no discount for eating in restaurant prices compared to hotel in major city centres, I travel a lot for work and know! Only continental breakfast included absolute joke. Dinner in restaurant again poor Pad Thai must have been left on pass chicken and prawns dry sauce way to thick again dried out. Then told while relaxing with friends hadn’t seen for 5 years to leave at 9.30 and got to bed, ridiculous

Good food and a lovely place to stay. Only downside was a little road noise at night but that wasn’t too bad

Lovely room, slightly noisy but as expected for a Bar, was actually refreshing hearing laughter and people enjoying themselves, got peaceful after 10. Super friendly staff, food was serve hot and fast service

Very clean, friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Room needs somewhere to put things down in the bathroom, and there was some noise from other guests. Overall, would go back.

Room in good condition, quiet, not large, friendly staff, amenities = disappointed food finished at 6.30pm on the Sunday I stayed, and bar closed at 8pm. No comfort place to sit for a drink, oriented for food. Food was very good though.

Staff were great, as was the food in the hotel. Room was comfortable.

The bar closed at 10.30

Ideal for visiting Powys castle. Narrow stairway to bedroom and shower inside a bath with no grab rails a bit of a problem for me as elderly!!

Room was very pleasant, be aware that when you book breakfast included this is NOT a full cooked breakfast. It is only a very limited continental breakfast. Croissant, yoghurt and boxed cereals. Not cold meats or cheeses. The hotel is on the main road and opposite another major junction so traffic noise is an issue. Evening meals are very good.

Very nice room. Nice towels and bed linen. However, when it say including breakfast, it is ONLY Continental...disappointing.
