The staff was very friendly and kind. They gave us an upper room in the same price . The environment was unique . The only disadvantage is that the kafeneion and breakfast room are should be bigger.

I had a good time this past weekend at Delina Mountain Resort in Anogia, south of Rethymno, here on Crete. But I have learned, once again, not to trust Apple Maps, or Google Maps. Both of them took me down a closed road with construction equipment and a missing bridge. Normally I might find that amusing, but I was anxious to get to the resort after a 2 ½ hour drive. I chose my own way around that mess and arrived at the resort an hour later. This was a quiet and peaceful place with only 13 rooms. I think it was just me and maybe two other guests. The cafe, across the manmade pond, kept busy all the time, presumably from local villagers coming to eat. The pork chops were on par with pork chops at most village tavernas. The fava beans I had the next day were quite good. The owner of this resort is a famous Greek singer, but I didn’t get his name. He performed at the cafe Sunday evening and well over 100 people came to watch and enjoy food and drink. I listened from my private balcony. The breakfast was room service only, which I ordered when I checked in. I chose 9 am for my delivery time and there was a knock on my door at exactly 9 am. I’m impressed with their punctuality. The breakfast buffet was closed because of Covid, the same with their indoor heated pool. All in all, a relaxing weekend.

The place is amazing, it combines everything you need to relax. The swimming pool and you en-suite jacuzzi. You cant ask for more. Also, the reception and the staff are all so good they made everything they could and above and beyond. The tavern next to the hotel is so good very nice view with sometimes live music. Very near there are some ancient monuments to see and another cave nearby which we enjoyed very much. Good for all seasons. The breakfast was so good, the receptionist prepared for us with so many options and an orange juice machine with fresh oranges. I think I had 3 glasses of juice that day.

There was nothing i disliked about this hotel. The staff are incredible and the best ive encountered in all my travels. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are top notch, very comfortable and spacious. The area is breathtaking - the mountian treks around the area give you the most incredible views and pass many ancient monuments, caves and archaeological sites. The town of Anogia has a tragic history which gives testament to the strength of character of the locals, and it has a rich musical legacy which is impressive. Overall it's a visit i wont forget, and i will be back asap!

We stayed there for two nights. We were very unlucky with the weather. The resort was engulfed in big black clouds and rain the whole time we were there! Before booking this resort we had thought that if it was cold up there in the mountains we would be able to have massages and treatments in the spa, however the therapist had gone to Athens.....so no treatments available. We spent our time there in our room, looking at the rain. We had a quick swim in the indoor pool, but it is too small for serious swimming. The staff were very brusque. Our room was cold, so they upgraded us. The nearby village is attractive, but we found the people unfriendly. In good weather it would be a different experience , but I would not go back there.

The place is really interesting, very quiet so you can relax. The room is very clean and in good condition but a few things could also be done so it becomes perfect. Some painting and a full mini bar maybe. Also painting the external areas. One last thing the staff to be more informative. The places like the lake, the botanical garden, the farm... really good. Keep like that.

Having stayed in many hotels in Greece we mostly found terrible beds, until now! The Delina Mountain Resort had the best bed we've slept in on a trip in Crete. The shower was hot, had nice pressure and was a decent size by European standards. A few centimeters in each direction bigger would have helped but the cleanliness, towel warmers, slippers and bathrobes more than made up for the shower size. If you want a tub make sure to ask when booking. All rooms don't have that option. Fantastic breakfast, massage, views, warm room with fireplace, music on site and a cafe/restaurant that was yummy. Sheep, goats, stars and quiet. A mountain escape for a few days or just one night on the way to some other fantastic location in beautiful Crete. Front desk was so polite, helpful and warm. Did I almost forget to mention the heated beautiful indoor pool? Great job guys, Mike, Olga, everyone. Thank you.

Staff are incredibly kind and friendly. They even opened up the pool, Hammam, and sauna for us to enjoy after we got there, and upgraded our room for no additional cost. Views are nice from the mountains and it was nice and quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what we were looking for. We loved the animals on site, they were so sweet and loving. Breakfast was generous too. It was exactly what we needed after some days of aggressive hiking and sightseeing. We had a little trouble with the TV signal and shower head, but other than that, we would love to go back and just relax.

Had great expectations for an up market resort in the mountains (thinking the Rockies or Alps out of the ski season) considering the web site details and price. We pulled in late afternoon, the only car there ! Hotel still looked ok but every room from reception to bedroom to rest.) smelled of smoke despite a "no smoking" booking. Apart from some peeling plaster and large crawling ants (and smoke smell) the tiny tv didn't work (you will have a bigger monitor but not 16' away and all in Greek when it was fixed) there was nowhere to sit/swim outside, a grubby pond in front of the hotel, a poky bar/restaurant (smoke again ) that was deserted and a server who couldn't speak/understand english or spanish or ? and didn't have a clue about available drinks (only scotch and local wine/beer I think). Expected to see Jack Nicholson walk in at any time. Internet worked thank God and Hotels.com were very helpful at finding an alternative for the next few nights which worked out great. The 7 previous reviews must all have been friends/family, first time in many years I've had to complain like this but maybe you get the idea ......

What a quiet and beautiful location. Perfect for that out of the way get-away. The family owned touch is great. We really like how a majority of the food was from their own garden/ sheep. Great spa options, but the pool is not heated.
