Room was overall great. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean bathroom and well soundproofed. Only (minor) problems: couldn’t fully close very heavy sliding bathroom door (not properly on runners) and tissue box only had two tissues left (admittedly not a huge concern, just very slightly sloppy). Also the three reception staff on arrival weren’t attentive as should’ve been. We stood there for a while before even being acknowledged. Breakfast was plentiful with many hot and cold options. Food quality, especially sausages and hash browns, also could’ve been of higher quality (and a bit hotter too). Breakfast and dining areas well laid out. Overall a nice hotel, which needed a little more cosmetic care, in a convenient area with trams, trains and buses all close by. Check out was easy, quick and friendly.

Warm and friendly welcome from the staff on reception, who even phoned me in the room to check all was OK. Bar open all hours. Great breakfast included which is unusual. Nice quiet, clean room with great shower. My only gripe was no fridge in the bedroom and that some breakfast tables were left uncleared. But I’ll be back!

Sofa bed was like sleeping on a wire rack. Double bed was a hard slab and mattress had ‘foot grooves’ from previous use. Bathroom door was a barn door that you needed to be a body builder to be able to close, grinding on the floor and waking others if you use the bathroom at night. Disappointing for this brand and not what you expect. Also was further out of town, was more than 15 minutes walk to arena. Wouldn’t stay here. Emailed the hotel before posting this review but no response.

Compact hotel, free breakfast which is alright, great area for food and about 20 mins walk away from New Street

We were told Expedia hasn’t paid them and we have to pay again. We paid and there is no clear way to put a claim for our money

This was the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and it was just as good as the first time. Staff are friendly, helpful and diligent. The room has everything that you need and more without it being cramp. The gym is a bonus and breakfast is lovely. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Birmingham

Staff friendly and approachable. Everywhere clean and tidy.

Room was clean overall. The toilet needed a wipe down before use. There was no door stop for the door between the bathroom/hallway and the bedroom. Door wasn’t staying open. Asked reception, they couldn’t help. Something worth looking at. The shower was dripping after every use for hours on end. Staff was lovely, housekeeping was so friendly when asked for fresh towels. Free breakfast was a bonus, simple but tasty. Bacon was quite tough. Good location. Overall it was a lovely weekend at a decent price.

I stayed here for two nights with my partner and two young kids, the room, hotel etc was immaculate, we had the pleasure of meeting Faye, Ryan and Akira, they were very warm welcoming and beyond friendly and treated us like family. My kids were handed activities when on arrival and when we wanted to put the Aston Villa game on there was no hesitation from these friendly people. Next time we come to Birmingham I would stay here again, highly recommended and thank you staff for a lovely welcome and wishing us safe travels on route home
