This is a luxury resort where you can park yourself after some sightseeing in the center of the country. It has a very nice meandering pool, most but not all of it shallow for children safety, access to a long and wide sandy beach with a life guard and waves that take some getting used to and might intimidate some. There are three restaurants, one with a very nice buffet for 15 euro and two others. Breakfast is very rich and spans English to Sri Lankan versions of the first day meal. The place is super clean, indoors and out. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My wife came in with a bad cold, and within one hour one doctor and two uniformed nurses paid her a visit and gave her very effective medicin. We spent four nights and did not really see the need to leave the place, coming after days in the jungle and close to monuments, but the hotel staff will be happy to arrange tours for you. All in all, a very pleasant stay for all ages, though not one of the friendliest beaches in Sri Lanka.
