Room was very clean. Elevators were not clean: walls, buttons, floor and door.

We stayed at Américas Gaivota Hotel for one night and it was a horrible experience. We arrived around 10:00 pm and the room was dirty and old, with stained sheets and mold in the bathroom. Within minutes, my husband was bitten multiple times by mosquitoes, we killed several but they just kept coming. I was also bitten on my leg before even falling asleep. After less than an hour of trying, we had to leave because it was impossible to rest. The hallway and even the lobby were full of mosquitoes, and the staff member at the desk was swatting them away while talking to us. Very disappointing stay and definitely not recommended.

I loved my stay at Americas Gaivota Hotel. The staff is amazing, the rooms are clean and clear, the breakfast is very good.

The hotel was close to the beach and restaurants. The location was excellent.

Room was rather rundown. Bathroom window banged very loud all night in light wind. Loud hotel, large gap under door so lots of noise at night. Bathroom was dingy. No outlets near bed. Air conditioning not adequate, very weak. And AC remote control very sticky. No coffee available after 10am. Door key car reader malfunctioned many times per day, had to keep going to get card reset. Shower temperature fluctuated very hot many times without control. Great area near Olegario. Friendly staff. Definitely needs updating.
