Bedding was subpar

A very disappointing stay. This is not a 4* hotel. We had travelled from a lovely hotel in Tallinn, Estonia and were immediately disappointed with this hotel after check-in. Small, clunky lifts and a terrible smell of drains in the corridor. A very basic, lifeless and dated room. The bathroom was not clean and needed a refresh, ie. Dirt stuck on the door and to the grout in the shower. The bathroom floor was flooded everytime the shower was used and the hand wash had not been refilled. We came back late in the evening to find the bed extremely loud, creaky and uncomfortable. I went down to reception to report the problem and was informed extra bedding would be bought to us within an hour in an attempt to make it more comfortable. I asked what we were supposed to do regarding the bed creaking - it was extremely loud and sleep disturbing - to be told we wouldn’t be able to switch rooms until the next day. No bedding arrived and it was very late by this point so we put up with the bed as it was. It was very difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. Again, a very dated system. The rooms are not soundproof, we could hear other guests playing music and chatting in corridor. The TV is very basic with no YouTube/Netflix/English programmes. In the end we stayed out for as long as possible and just used it as a place to shower and sleep (badly). Overall, I would not recommend this hotel at all, I certainly won’t be returning. It is definitely not a 4* hotel.

Clean and comfortable

Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful staff. The only thing to note for improvement could be the shower head water pressure.

Check-in staff are excellent. However, it was really hot in the room and they turn the air-com off at the end of august so sleep was difficult. This was further disturbed by the MASSIVE noise and bass music to about 3am (not the hotel's fault, but added to the horrible night's sleep over friday and saturday night). There are no glasses for water - just wine glasses, which are not practical for a bedside table. You have to refill water from the corridor - no complimentary bottle when you arrive. For room service it's opt-in, which is environmental - but if you forget in the morning, no clean towels for you. The spa reception staff (except the masseurs and Alina and Lina who were all great) were argumentative and surly. They force you to book on the internet even when you tell them "it doesn't work" (their response is: :"it must"). Then they don't get back to you at all, then you have to do downstairs and book in in person in the first place - which defeats the 'relaxing' element of a spa.

Inside Old Town, access to museums, shops, restaurants, and parks were easy.

Enjoyed my stay. Front desk personnel were very kind & helpful. Centrally located for all the tourist sites.

my door handle was hanging off every time i closed to the door bottom door trim fell off beds were uncomfortable aircon made no difference to temperature in room overall everything felt very cheap not what id expect from a hotel with this star rating

City center location, very good breakfast. Excellent hotel for the price.
