My stay at Hostal Hispano Gran Vía was okay, but there were a few things that could be improved. The location was not the greatest and the property itself was quite hard to find. It is inside a dark, dingy looking building, with reception located on the second floor, which did not give the best first impression.
There was not always a member of staff present, although there is a self check-in machine available. When the staff member was there, they were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated.
The single room was quite strangely arranged and felt very small. The TV was also very small, and the bathroom was compact too. The bed was not very comfortable, which affected the overall stay.
Overall, the staff member I dealt with was helpful and friendly, but the building, room layout and comfort level could definitely be improved.
