We really appreciated a splurge here. However, the communication was a bit poor at booking (listing) and leading up to arrival on what was included. We went during off season in spring, and it was delightful. I definitely recommend but call their customer service after booking to get a better understanding of what is going on.

Our stay at Puyuhuapi Lodge was, regrettably, far below expectations. To begin with, one must book the boat to access the hotel, which is understandable; however, despite having two boats, several guests were left waiting for 20 minutes due to limited space. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a group briefing on the hotel’s facilities, yet no one mentioned the need to book the boat for departure. The following morning, I was informed that the boat was fully booked, causing considerable stress as we had to continue our journey south. Fortunately, we managed to secure a spot thanks to other guests postponing their departure—hardly the standard of organisation one expects. The hotel itself is charming, with spectacular views and a tranquil atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful, and both the bar and restaurant offered well-prepared dishes. However, the outdoor pools were disappointing—poorly maintained, with only two out of three operational and the water noticeably cold despite being advertised as hot springs. Ironically, there were also issues with hot water in the showers. After waiting over 10 minutes, I was forced to endure a cold shower. Additionally, the senderos (trails) were poorly maintained, which was disheartening for those keen to explore. Given the price, I expected far more. If you seek hot springs or well-kept trails, I would suggest exploring other options.

The property was unique in its location and structure. We enjoyed the thermal baths, the hiking, the guided tour of the Ventisquiro Colgante and the delicious meals (they were able to accommodate our Vegan lifestyle.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting but in order to get there you have to park in a packed car park and take a boat. We naively thought this would be on demand as in other similar hotels but it isn’t and it is very infrequent. If you miss the 3.30 ferry you have to wait until 7pm. We just made it from the airport on arrival but the next day we left on the first boat at 9.30 to visit the national park - we were rushed all day while doing our walks to the hanging glacier and got back 10 mins after the ferry left. We didn’t want to wait and agreed to pay the extortionate fee of over £80 (over $100 US). The next morning they had the audacity to say that the 9.30 boat we had booked was now full of people going on a walking trip with a hotel guide and we would have to wait until 10.15 to leave. Breakfast was fine but dinner was very poor. There is only a 3 course set menu in the restaurant. There is a choice of 2 items for each course. We did not want meat or seafood with meat, so asked for a vegetarian choice - maybe fish. The fish we were given, (with some deep fried potato balls and no veg) was totally inedible. The second night the choice looked better but the quality of the food was poor. The meal certainly wasn’t cheap - we paid half the price for a much better meal at a very small hotel the next night. The hotel is expensive and we felt that once you were there they just wanted to get as much more money from you as possible - there was a total lack of customer service.

Lovely respite. Good food. Comfortable bed. Lovely quiet view. We didn’t do any spa things and still loved it.

Great hotel, fantastic ( albeit remote) location. Just one real problem .... that would have been less of an issue if I had been pre-warned and planned for it. ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE SERVICE AND NO INTERNET and it's a 20 minute boat ride ( three times a day service) and a 30 minute drive to the nearest place with cell reception and 3G networks. The hotel does have a satellite phone for emergencies. Had I planned for this eventuality, I might have been able to enjoy a stress free break that this place offers in spades.

Beautiful location, but be prepared to unconnected. There is no WiFi service at this property which is a nice break from our daily routines. The only way to get to the resort is by ferry, so time your schedules accordingly with ferry pick up and drop off. It’s also over 4 hours from Coyhaique so you will need to coordinate transportation. This property has the fjord to themselves along with natural hot spring tubs. The hanging glacier is a nice hike near by, but all other activities in the area seemed to be 5-6 hours south.

The place is truly amazing, the food and service were great! The thermal pools were also fantastic, we were very lucky to get sunny days so our stay was even more enjoyable! Highly recommended, just bear in mind that is place to disconnect, there is limited internet access (just one terminal) and very limited telephone connection (which being satellital is charged by the minute), also access and departure are limited if required without a cost. If you can adapt to it, it is really great and I highly recommend it!

This hotel is something special, the only way to get to it is by boat or a pantoon plane, since there are no roads leading to the remote side of the lake it was built upon. The hotel staff was very accommodating, and the hotel facilities are nice too. They also have natural hot spring termas that are open 24 hours which are really cool to use at night and look out at the stars. They also have several activities available you can take advantage of. We did the kayaking in the morning before we left which was fun. The only thing I would change here is the restaurant. The setting is great, and the breakfast was a good (typical German style you find in Chile). However the dinner is way overpriced and you only have 2 selections for a 3 course meal. I was here with 2 other people and no one was impressed. The food was OK. Maybe we were here on an off night too. If you can eat before you get there, I would recommend based off our experience. Other than that, really great hotel!
